The contact owns a 2007 Buick rainer. The contact stated that he received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 12v406000 (visibility:power window devices and controls) and called the to have the vehicle repaired. The dealer stated that the parts were not yet available and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and advised that they were not manufacturing the recall parts for the vehicle. The vehicle was not serviced under the recall. The failure mileage was 76,000. Updated 12/14/12.
Drivers door window screeches when lowered, stops half way when raised. Has become worse over the past month. Now I must try helping it by hand while pushing the up button. . Now I am afraid to lower window for fear of not being able to get it to raise.
