Power steering leaks, the gas gauge and other gauges don't work, most the electrical don't work inside the car, makes a weird noise when it backs up and the engine revs when it's starts and sometimes when it drives and goes faster even when you are not hitting the gas, the gas tank blows out gas when we are pumping gas like it's full but it's not, the window cracked from a little peddle and the wheels and hubs go bad really fast.
My 2005 Buick rainer speed meter stop working also my fuel gage, oil gage, rpm gage and temp gages all have stop working correctly.
My speedometer is not showing the accurate speed. The needle shoots to 100-120mph, when I am only doing 65 mph. When I turn the truck off it will sit at 60mph or stay on 120mph. I have to turn the truck off and on to reset the speedometer. The oil gauge just stopped working. Also my headlights flicker while I am driving. The problem with the speedometer has been an ongoing issue.
While driving my speedometer will read 120mph when in fact I'm only doing 65mph. It'll stay stuck at 60 and 120mph when the truck is turned off. I have to turn the engine off and on to reset it back to 0. One day it works fine, next day it's reading incorrectly. My oil gauge just stopped working all together. My headlights also flicker while I'm driving.
Speedometer and tachometer step motors malfunction and do not go back down upon deceleration. My speedo will show I'm doing 40 mph while stopped and sometimes peg out while driving in the neighborhood. This creates an unsafe situation with speed management in all types of driving conditions.
Wh5gaile I was driving down a rural road doing about 35 to 40 mph the speed suddenly froze at 40 and it no longer moves. I'm currently a driver for the city and this is a complete hazard when driving and can't determine your speed. I was very afriad due to the fact I couldn't understand why this happen to me which occured in the process of acceleration . When I finally looked down my speed said 90 which I knew for a fact I was'nt going that fast at all once the vehicle got stuck on 40 it never came back down. Someone really needs to revise this situation with this vhicle since this problem is very common where's the recall on this.
I have had this vehicle for 4 years and the speedometer has not worked for 2. 5 years now. It will work if I reset the battery or turn the key over until the needle goes back to 0. I am told the instrument cluster is bad and I see that there are other complaints also. Please help. I need to know if this is covered at a gm dealership for free. The vehicle also sputters and I have already replaced the fuel pump and had the injectors looked at. If you can please email me or contact me I would greatly appreciate it.
While driving at around 50 mph the speedometer went down to zero. After stopping and starting again it went to 120 and stayed there. Starting the car now it stays at 120 mph and does not return to zero. This is very scary and dangerous. I have found out that this happened to several gm cars. We also found out that it will cost $500. 00 to $600. 00 dollars to repair. I think someone needs to check this out as a recall. This is an item that should work 100% of the time all the time and a failure for something like this is just not right. Please advise what can be done.
My speedometer does not work correctly. Some times it seems to read right, but lots of times it will say I am doing 120 when I am doing 30 mph or it will show I am doing 0 when I am actually doing 70 mph on the interstate. I cannot rely on my speedometer to be accurate. I can be driving, it appears to be working but then it starts to slowly go down until it is back at zero and all the while I am in drive and moving. Also, my oil gage has stopped working. It moves when I start my car and shut it off, but it is never correct either. It is either at zero or on the complete opposite side. Sometimes my car stalls when I am sitting at a light or driving slowly. My dash will say, oil pressure low, stop engine and die on me. I keep my oil changed regularly and keep the levels checked. It does not leak, it always measures fine when I check it. So something is wrong with the oil gage and it is continuously telling my computer the oil pressure is low causing my car to die on me while driving or in traffic. These are both very serious driving hazards. I could go to pull out left and turn, my car could die on me, and I could get hit from oncoming traffic. This has not happened, but it is a possible scenario due to my car stalling out of the blue because of the oil gage/sensor not working right. I have also noticed some of my lights in my dash area half work and on my doors. Other than this, I have had great luck with my vehicle. I bought it new and really have not had any problems but with this. I also had the fuel gage go out, but there was a recall on it, and I had it replaced. I cannot give you a specific date, because this happens almost on a daily basis, so I will give you an approximate date as to when I think it started around.
Speedometer did not register correct speed, at times would read going over 100mph when going 40mph. When car stopped would register still a speed such as 30mph. Would be out for a few days and then start working again. Continued to keep this pattern for few years. Dealer wanted to replace with rebuilt instrument panel for approximately $500. No longer have car.
The spedometer began sticking at night. We kept driving the car using the rpm gauge to try to judge speed. The spedometer would work sporadically. It now doesn't work. It show 100 mph when you may be going 20 or it shows 20 mph when you are going 60. Last night we were showing 45 miles an hour parked in the driveway. This is definetly not a safe way to drive a car. I know that gm has had problems with this and has recalled some trailblazers and tahoes, but so far they have not done anything to help the ranier owners. This is a costly repair and it is caused by a new design gm tried.
I have been doing research and I have noticed that there are many people that are dealing with the same issues I am which includes gas gauge failure (false readings) and speedometer reading incorrectly. The amount of people dealing with these issues should be enough to place a recall on those clusters I would think. I have never had so many problems with a 2005 vehicle before like I have had with my 2005 Buick Rainier. I have ran out of gas many times because of this issue leaving me stranded on the side of the road. Something has to be done.
- the contact owns a 2004 Buick Rainier with a failure mileage of 47,000 and a current mileage of 57,000 miles. The contact stated that the speedometer displayed the incorrect speed. When she put the vehicle in park the speedometer showed that the speed was above zero. The registered speed varied. When she started the vehicle it would automatically display a speed which was above zero. When the contact started to drive the speedometer would keep going higher until it reached 120. The contact has not taken the vehicle to the dealer or spoken to the manufacturer.
Car is 2004 Buick Rainier with awd. Less than 2000 miles at time of incident. Temp 0 f, 4" fresh snow. Returning home at 5:00 p. M. , turned into 100' long driveway and proceeded toward garage. Because of snow in driveway, had to accelerate to reach front of garage when normally I just coast because it is a slightly downhill approach. Car would not stop by pushing brakes and hit garage door. Car seemed to be accelerating as it pushed garage door into snow blower and snow blower into stored vehicle inside garage causing damage to both. Speed was less than 5 miles per hour. Air bags did not deploy. Incident reported to insurance company next morning and insurance company set up an appointment with dealer. Dealer provided estimate for repairs but did not investigate for mechanical failure. Returned vehicle to investigate after christmas but nothing found to have caused incident.
Numbers on speedometer disappear in early morning and just before dark.
At dawn or early evening the digital display speedometer disappears, and makes it impossible to see how fast consumer is traveling. Manufacturer states the vehicle is doing what it is designed to do. . . . Also, does it during day if it gets very cloudy like it is gaong to snow, etc. In michigan, wher econsumer lives, there were several such days.
