Window motors and window controls failing. I replaced two window motors at in 2017, at dealer because they failed, then the rear passenger window motor failed in 2020 and was replaced at mechanic shop with factory replacement, this rear passenger window is seldom used, but rear passenger window motor failed again in 2023 and was replaced again at mechanic shop. Drivers window motor now needs to be replaced. Window controls are intermittant. The components were replaced by dealer and by third-party mechanic. There is no warning prior to failure other than rolling down a window and not being able to get it back up at all, which poses a hazard in torrential rain and damages vehicle; or not being able to roll a window down when needed. The first replacement was under warranty. The rest have been out of pocket and have caused other damage due to rain. I feel the entire window operating system should have been recalled, driver side controls and all of the operting motors. This is a dangerous and expensive continuing problem. Never had this problem with any gm vehicle before the 2007 rainer. Rear air suspension went out in 2018 and rear end fell down causing severe handling difficulty. Had to replace rear air suspension with conventional shocks because parts were not available in a timely manner and vehicle could not be driven safely without rear suspension. Had similar issue with air suspension on 2004 Buick SUV, where the air suspension went haywire and caused handling issues. (vehicle was returned to dealer and exchanged for one with a conventional suspension. ) was told by dealer the air suspension problem was fixed on later models after 2004, but apparently not. Would not have purchased a vehicle with air suspension had I known it still had these issues.

Low beam lights go off intermittently while driving and eventually come back on. This does not affect high beams or any other lights on the vehicle. But causes a serious danger to my needing to drive at night due to my job.
We bought a Buick Rainier 2006 and it has had nothing but electrical, door problems and door handle problems. It has a faulty back window wiper. Suspension issues and a voting under body carriage. I bought it from a dealer and none of these recall issues where taken care of,and these recalls date back to 2015 I bought the rainer in March 2018.
Power steering leaks, the gas gauge and other gauges don't work, most the electrical don't work inside the car, makes a weird noise when it backs up and the engine revs when it's starts and sometimes when it drives and goes faster even when you are not hitting the gas.

Door locks suddenly stopped working. Latches would not open, could not close doors.
Takata recall wiper blades and washer fluid come on by themselves. Happen to my wife today on her way to school and she was terrified because it was hard for her to see plus it was raining. Also I read there was a recall on this issue back in 2004 for the trailblazers.
Electronic brake and traction control module communication. Loud banging, awd light came on, code showed the about reason. (electronic brake and traction control module communication).
The door locks and windows want work at all . .
Low beam lights go out when right turn signal is applied and returns to center position. A/c cooling fan does not cool compressor enough to run a/c at low speeds causing pressure to build up in feron receiver. Car is at idle or low speed.

The contact owns a 2006 Buick Rainier. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle jerked violently without warning. In addition, the power windows were jammed and would not wind up or down. The failure mileage was 105,000.
Fuel gauge is erradic. It bounces from full to empty.
Drivers side door electrical fire - very similar to recall 15700 -fluid entered into the driver's door master power window switch module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board, causing window switches, locks, etc to become inoperative. Also resulted in an electrical fire. Vehicle was unattended in a parking lot and window was open just an inch. Upon return to car window was up and door would not open with remote. Opened vehicle with key and noted horrible smell of electrical fire and all drivers side door electrical features were inoperative.
This car needs to be recalled completely shutting down with no engine light on. This car driving on hwy shuts off no warning.
Car shuts down with no warning , had 1500 dollar power train work . The car almost caused me to be killed due to car running no engine light and completely shut down as if you turned the off. Hwy 287 going 65.
After filling up the vehicle with fuel, the gas gage goes to zero and the tank empty warning light comes on, after driving about 2 to 3 miles, the check engine light comes on. After driving another 10-15 miles the gas gage returns to showing actual level and the check engine light goes out. However, at about a tank level of about 1/4 the tank is near empty. This erratic malfunction of the gas gage is dangerous.
Have noticed after a heavy and driving rain that the electrical systems acts up. We call it crazy car! all the dash lights blink & flash, bells ding and gauges fluctuate while the vehicle is at rest and on the move. We shut the engine off, sit for a minute and restart only to get the same thing. That may happen for the entire ride duration or we may get no dash lights at all. It appears to me that there is a short or a moisture that creates this happening because after a few days of good sunny weather where the water has evaporated from the roadways, our beloved rainer comes back to normal. We still experience the dimming of the headlights as we are driving at night when we are cruising with no gas pedal application at around the 32 mph marking which is rather annoying as other drivers feel as if we are flashing them. We see a down surge in the battery gauge drop for 14 volts to 11 volts and then come back up. Sometimes this can happen once or twice during a 10 mile ride or as many as 50! we wonder, when, OH, when will gm pay attention to these complaints or are we just talking into the wind?.
After parking my vehicle and shutting the engine off the daytime running lights did not turn off automatically. There is no switch in the cabin to turn them off and they did not turn off on their own. I had to disconnect the battery to shut the lights off and prevent the battery from draining completely. I looked at the fuses and relays next to the battery and noticed that the solid state relay number 46 controlling hdm was bulged out on one side and smelled like burnt electronics. I swapped relay 45 into the 46 position and reconnected the battery and the daytime running lamps did not illuminate with the different relay in place. I noticed the NHTSA campaign id number:14v755000, in my case it would not shut off after the relay failed. I have never reported any vehicle problems like this before but wonder if a wider recall may need to be considered.
Passenger door panel caught on fire when the care wasn't used for over 15 hours. The window and door locks weren't working on that side and the window was up prior to the fire. The fire caused the window to drop down and a passing tow truck thankfully saw the flames.
While driving the locks start unlocking and locking multiple times, while this is happening the gear shift indicator on the dash goes from drive to park. This also happened on may 30,2015 and June 1,2015. I noticed there has been a recall on the 2006-2007 model it would seem that a problem like this would be looked at in all models.
The air conditioning and heating controls had not been working and /or working irratically. We took the vehicle to the local dealership for repair. They claimed that they couldn't find any problem. We also asked them to fix the recall item, door switch, and were told there was no recall on our vehicle eventhough we had received notice from gm by mail. On March 14, 2015 I was driving on the interstate when the air conditioner suddenly started working full force. Within 10 minutes I smelled an electric fire and white smoke started coming into the cab from above and below the dash. I immediately pulled off the road and tried to open the hood. As the smoke increased I went to the passenger side to remove belongings from the glove conpartment. Black smoke was coming from the dash and burning embers falling into the cab. By the time the fire department arrive, the vehicle was fully ingulfed in flames. My family and I were not hurt, but are now without a vehicle and still owe the finance company since we had only purchased the vehicle 9 months ago. Subsequent research revealed the headlights we had replaced twice also had electrical issues, and the suspension noise from the rear of the vehicle had multiple complaints.

All he did was call royal and they said 105. 00 for diagnasit plus repairs. I am on social security and small ret. From county. Can not afford. Second recall on this car. If I have a wreck and hurt some one or me hope they can pay bills thank you for listening bless you.
First recall was on the window swith in driver door . Second recall was on the lights and as of now they still do not have the parts to fix it. Before I got the recall notice we went and had it fixed and we had to pay for that. They dont seem to be to concerened about our saftey or it woul already be fixed . Now only back passenger dorr can be opened from the outside all the other doors messed up at the same time and they want 500. 00 to fix two doors really.
I have an intermittent problem with my low-beam headlights not working. All the other lights work fine. Both low beams will suddenly go out, but sometimes will start working again after a few minutes. Other times it may take several hours before they will work.
Power door locks and window locks are inoperative. Have lost all power in the door locks and windows as well as the radio and the heater. I was trapped in my car this morning for about 5 minutes with the windows up and the heater was blowing out hot air. I was unable to stop that as I couldn't turn off the car or open the doors, I pried the door lock open and was able to get out of the car.
Vehicle speedometer performs erratically or not at all. Sometimes shows 80 mph while vehicle is parked and off, sometimes shows nothing when vehicle is moving. Common, long-standing and well-know problem among these vehicles. Reported to gm, who has declined to take any action.
Buick raineer 2006, 5gadt13s462285196, I have had trouble with my SUV turning off while driving many times. Also, it will not start after several attemps until it just wants to. Now, it has completely stopped starting and is sitting in a parking lot after trying to start over 5 hours, I am so upset and stranded. My VIN does not appear on recall list for switch, but that is the trouble I am having. What do I do now?.

My 2004 Buick Rainier has an issue with the electrical system where the battery keeps being drained by a dead short in the system and rendering the car useless sporadically. Unfortunately, the professionals I have talked to don't seem to know the answer to the problem and I don't want to keep throwing good money after bad in my attempt to resolve it.
I just bought a Buick Rainier 2004. I was driving it and stopped at a red light and the speed odometer never went back to 0. Took it to a shop and they tried to reset it . No luck . The shop told me that they have gotted a lot of them with the same problem. Must have it taken out and sent to be fixed. I think this is a safty problem it its happening to a lot of cars and suvs. Is their any recall on this . Will their be any recalls on this . I went on line and read a lot of complaints about the same problem I am having . Can you advise me what to do . Thank you for your time.
Speedometer and tachometer step motors malfunction and do not go back down upon deceleration. My speedo will show I'm doing 40 mph while stopped and sometimes peg out while driving in the neighborhood. This creates an unsafe situation with speed management in all types of driving conditions.
