The contact stated that he received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 12v406000 (visibility:power window devices and controls) and called the to have the vehicle repaired. The dealer stated that the parts were not yet available and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and advised that they were not manufacturing the recall parts for the vehicle. Drivers door window screeches when lowered, stops half way when raised. Has become worse over the past month. Now I must try helping it by hand while pushing the up button. . Now I am afraid to lower window for fear of not being able to get it to raise.

The contact indicated that the failure would only occur in extremely cold temperatures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. Also, the contact indicated that the driver side heated seat would become very hot too the touch before the seat warmer completely failed altogether. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.
