Drivers door window screeches when lowered, stops half way when raised. Has become worse over the past month. Now I must try helping it by hand while pushing the up button. . Now I am afraid to lower window for fear of not being able to get it to raise.
The contact owns a 2004 Buick Rainier. The contact stated that after opening the driver side power window, the window could not be closed. The contact indicated that the failure would only occur in extremely cold temperatures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. Also, the contact indicated that the driver side heated seat would become very hot too the touch before the seat warmer completely failed altogether. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.
