Steering Problems of Buick Rainier

The contact owns a 2006 Buick rainer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel jerked independently without warning, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that there was an abnormal grinding sound coming from the brake pedal while depressing the brake pedal. The contact had taken the vehicle to two independent mechanics, where the wheel bearings and ball joints were replaced; however, the failure persisted. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

Power steering leaks, the gas gauge and other gauges don't work, most the electrical don't work inside the car, makes a weird noise when it backs up and the engine revs when it's starts and sometimes when it drives and goes faster even when you are not hitting the gas.

The contact owns a 2005 Buick Rainier. While operating the vehicle, the power steering suddenly malfunctioned and made the steering wheel very difficult to turn in either direction. Also, a whining type noise was present when turning the steering wheel. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 162,000.

When backing out of my driveway and turning it seemed like my tires locked up and my car would not move unless I straightened my steering wheel a little. It does the same thing when pulling forward and pulling into a parking space or doing a u-turn. When I touch the gas to make it go the car jumps a little and makes popping noises and my tires squeal a little also. Since this started I've noticed my gas mileage going down. I've heard a few other people having the same issue.

There is a shuddering or rumble coming from the front wheels of our Buick Rainier awd at low speeds when backing up or making turns. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer on 2 occasions but the problem has not been corrected.
