In addition, the contact noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the spark plug wires had caught fire and there was oil leaking from the valve cover gasket. The contact was able to extinguish the fire. The contact sustained minor hand injuries but did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. When driving at any speed check engine light appeared on the dashboard. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealership for inspection, and mechanic determined that engine failed. Consumer will have the mechanic replace the engine. Prior to the engine failure the vehicle was taken to the dealer three times because the consumer noticed that oil was leaking onto her driveway.
