Tl- the contact owns a 1998 Buick Regal. The contact stated that the engine warning light continued to randomly flash, once the vehicle was started there was a progressing misfiring of the engine. The contact saw no visible flames. No fire report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the motor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired several times but the failure was persistent. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling).
