My car started to not start after being driven and shortly after did not want to start in a simple idle. Somehow fuel has been getting trapped in a pressurized line and I'm having to release the fuel out. Oil leaked into the spark plugs caused a pilot flame. I have read multiple accounts of this happening to that specific make and year as well a few of the other 90 models. Every account says it is a flaw in the engine and fuel system.

Persistent oil leakage from engine and subsequent smoke from leakage. The automobile has been taken for servicing the problem five (5) times over the past two (2) years with no solution to problem.
When driving at any speed check engine light appeared on the dashboard. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealership for inspection, and mechanic determined that engine failed. Consumer will have the mechanic replace the engine. Prior to the engine failure the vehicle was taken to the dealer three times because the consumer noticed that oil was leaking onto her driveway.
Notified of safety recall engine design flaw by gm. Recall #15v701. No parts available/unknown when parts will be available/keep engine out of garage due to fire possibility. My engine smokes lightly but continually when running and continues for a short time after ignition turned off. Various mechanics could not diagnose cause but said there was oil everywhere on the engine. Didn't trust the vehicle to drive outside city but engine always responded dependably except for oil leak. Finally get the cause but it can't be repaired because of parts not available and no indication as to when parts will be available. I can't sell or trade in this vehicle due to safety recall. Can't drive it long distances. Can't get information as to when parts, if ever, will be available. If vehicle does catch fire, insurance won't pay off due to safety recall indicating problem. I realize it's a 20year old vehicle but it only has 150,000 miles. At least I'm not worried about it taking my life. . . . Yet. I've already contacted everyone that I've been told to but no resolution yet. Any suggestions?.
2000 Buick Regal was a total loss due to an engine fire. The consumer was informed the vehicle had an oil leak, but when he contacted another repair facility, he was told a thorough inspection had been done and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Several months later, the consumer needed a smog certificate to register his vehicle, he took the vehicle to the repair shop and left it. A few days later he received a call telling him to come to the shop. When the consumer arrived there were burn marks on the hood of his vehicle. The shop informed him when they performed the smog test a fire broke out under the hood and they stated the vehicle was a total loss. The consumer received a recall notice 1 year after the fire.
