This vehicle is a joke. I've had the ball joints worked on, gear shift (suddenly wouldn't change gears anymore), the transmission pump needs replacing, and when I drive, specifically if I turn or have to go over a speed hump, or over a small dip, there's a loud pop and lots of creaking even though the tire rod, ball joints and wheel bearings were replaced. After they were replaced, everything was quiet. About a year later, I'm hearing noises again. I've just grown accustomed to the fact that my car is loud. I know not to buy another Buick.

I currently own a 2006 Buick Rendezvous with 63,000 miles on it. The right front wheel bearing recently failed at 62,100 miles. I have owned a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, on both of these vehicles, both front wheel bearings failed while in warranty and under 50,000 miles and were repaired by Buick. But now they are refusing to repair my 2006. I feel that Buick knows they have a problem with wheel bearing failure but are not taking care of all the failures. I paid to replace the bearing at a cost of $358 and would like to be reimbursed by Buick for this expense. They have refused to do so.
Wheel bearings on a 3 year old vehicle failed on the right side. After a $300+ repair bill, now the left side has the same problem. A pretty new vehicle is dangerous to drive.

All wheel drive disabled warning and abs light came on. Also loss of power while going up hill. Internet states problem is probably caused by wheel bearings. 2002 to 2004 are covered with extended warranty. 2005 is not.
Front wheel bearings on 2004-2005 Buick Rendezvous fail at 50-60,000 miles. This is a common repair item if you talk with auto repair shops and dealers. One local repair shop repaired 6 vehicles the same week - all with front wheel bearing failure.
All 4 of my wheel bearings went bad before 60,000 miles, I received a letter from Buick stating they are offering an extended warranty for the front wheel bearings up to 60,000 miles. This problem was not diagnosed until I had 63,000 miles, though 4 months ago when I asked my mechanic about the load noise coming from my vehicle I was told it was from my new tires and I just needed to wear the tread and the noise would stop. It got worse and I brought the vehicle to 3 mechanics. The first 2 both said it is almost impossible for even 1 wheel bearing to go bad with this little of miles and they could not explain how all my wheel bearings could be shot. They stated when I asked about the noise 4 months ago it is most likely this would not have been diagnosed because no one would have even considered wheel bearings problems in a vehicle this new. One of the mechanics shook my tire in front of me a half an inch, stating "this is a huge safety issue". The letter I received from Buick claimed this was not recalled because it did not pose a safety concern. I did have the front 2 recently replaced and the dealer/Buick paid for half the cost, but refused to pay for the rear wheel bearings because that was not an issue on the letter I received. I researched online and found this was reported on a news station and over 272,000 people are affected by this.

Both front wheel bearings had to be replaced with only 52,000 miles on the vehicle. This component failure was extremely premature and indicates a defect in the wheel bearings. Another compliant to NHTSA listed the same problem on a vehicle with only 43,000 miles.
Both front wheel bearings failed on my wife's 2004 Buick Rendezvous. A special 'extended warranty' was issued for the 2002 (NHTSA item #10020658). Due to the relatively low mileage of the vehicle, the failure of both wheel bearings occurred long before it should have and I requested that her vehicle be included in the warranty as it fit the same criteria. The repair was costly and its unfair to have to pay for known defects and not get reimbursed. Gm refuses to reimburse me.
Received a letter from Buick that my 2003 Rendezvous has had problems with premature wear of the wheel bearings. I took my car in to be checked by the place I purchased it (quality auto of warsaw in) a week before receiving the letter because I heard a loud humm. Was told to bring it in on 9-8-06 for wheel bearing replacements by service manger matt dilley, but on 9-5-06 my front passenger tire sheared the studs off and the tire flew over the car at 50 mph, and crashed into a farmers field. Now Buick states it is not their fault and will not pay me or my insurance for repairs.
: the contact stated the vehicle's front wheel bearings went bad. The wheel bearings made a loud sound and were replaced. The replacement wheel bearings were also defective and had to be replaced.

Left front wheel bearing failed. . . . Replaced. Odometer failed at 5000 miles. . . Replaced. Odometer failed at 52000 miles. . . Replaced.
I had to have both front wheel bearings replaced at 43,000 miles. I did extensive research and have found this to be a common problem with this vehicle. It seems unreasonable to have to spend almost $800 to replace bearings which should last at least 100,000 miles.
Loud roaring, squealing noise from front of vehicle. Wheel bearings are going out on both front wheels. I own a 2003 Buick Rendezvous with under 49,000 miles. I called Buick and they said this is the 1st time & no one else has had this problem. I checked w/edmunds website and there are about 1,000 people who have had this problem. Please help as gm will not support their defective products. This could be very dangerous as wheels could be come loose and or come off the car.
Both right and left front wheel bearings had to be replaced on the vehicle. The first (left) was replaced at approx 35,000 miles. The right bearing was replaced at 43,000 miles. The vehicle has no heavy use and is driven approx. 1,400 miles per month.
Wheel bearings defective on two occasions, caused extreme vibration and noise. Dealer was notified and they supposedly fixed under warranty. Had to return a second time to the same dealer to be fixed again with the second incidence being worse than the first, thus making the car difficult to drive, especially at high speeds.
Both front wheel bearings need replaced at 67,000 miles. Along with right axle. Bearings squeal. Right axle has crunching noise along with.
Low roar in front underside of vehicle, 53,000 miles. Took to dealership. Told it was a front wheel bearing and would cost $450+ and $36 diagnostic fee. Took to independent and had service done for $330 inclusive. On March 10, same noise occurring. Other front wheel bearing, 65,000 miles. Complained to gm. They assured me if I took to dealership for repair that gm would reimburse. Did so and then was denied. Total cost was $494 for second wheel bearing. Reason from wear & tear. I was able to put 65,000 miles on original tires. Obviously not a 'wear and tear' situation. Obviously defective equipment. Gm should be liable!.
While driving at any speed consumer heard a noise coming from the vehicle. It was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that the front wheel bearing on the driver's side needed to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The contact was driving approximately 50 mph and applied the brakes however, the vehicle emitted an abnormal grinding noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician advised the contact that the front driver's side wheel bearings would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not further repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.
Increased noise and excessive tire wear at 40,000 miles. Bad wheel bearing on passenger side and was replaced. Two weeks later, increased noise again. Drivers side wheel bearing is also bad and will have to be replaced.
Consumer states that wheel bearings failed at 43000 miles. The cause has yet to be determined.
I have had all four wheel bearing on my 2002 Buick Rendezvous clx which was purchased new in may, 2002. I drive alot of miles, perform all regular maintanence and the vehicle currently has 120,000 mile. The first wheel bearing went bad at around 92,000.
Front left wheel bearing failed with 64,000 on the vehicle. Right rear wheel bearing was replaced at the same time. Left rear bearing has been diagnosed as bad and must be replaced. Both front bearing failed at 30,000 miles and need to be replaced. Right front bearing was replaced a second time at 43,539 miles.
Front right wheel bearing has been replaced tow times in the past 6 months.
While driving , the front of the vehicle started to vibrate. This was caused by front wheel bearing assembly failure. The part was replaced. The driver's side was the partial failure and the passenger's side was near catastrophic failure and may have resulted in the wheel locking up after continued use.
Front left side wheel bearing failed at 30,000 miles of wear. Within two week or less the right side wheel bearing failed. Dealer was notified and made the repairs.
While driving the consumer heard a grinding noise. Upon inspection it was noted that the front wheel bearings failed prematurely.
