Raw gasoline fumes upon starting the car . Fumes enter the cabin so strong the windows have to be rolled down . No apparent leak. No fuel on garage floor. This begin in =Feb 2013 and continues off and on. Some times it feels like it would explode if a ignition source was there. A definite health hazard and gm dealer has not been able to identify the source of the fumes. I see other reports of this problem on the internet. Dealer says no recall and no safety bulletins. 2004 had a recall but not 2005, it is not safe to drive unless problem is found.
The contact owns a 2002 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, a strong order of fuel emitted continuously. There was a recall related to the failure under NHTSA campaign number 07v349000(fuel system, gasoline) however, the recall was expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 193,000. Updated 05/12/14 MA.

Over the past year I have been contacting Buick and delphi about the recall on the fuel system in my 2005 Buick Rendezvous. I recently slightly passed out and crashed in the car due to being overcome by the intensive raw gas fumes. I recently contacted both again and I was told that there is a recall on certain vehicles but my vehicles VIN # is not one identified in the recall. I checked to see if my previous complaint was on file and it was no where to be found. I am making this complaint so before hand so that anyone else with this issue can take it serious and take action right away before they start displaying health related issues like me and my family.
A fuel leak occurred while idling with the gas running back toward and under the driver near the catalytic converter. This could have caused a major fire and loss of life / wife. The Buick mechanic found no o ring in the unit. It was not listed as a gm / Buick recall and they refused to take responsibility for the cost. An internet check found it to be a NHTSA recall (07e021000. ) as an "aftermarket equipment by made by delphi. " in calling delphi at 877-411-8770, they denied responsibility and liability to replace it. When questioned the customer service representative noted he gets "5 or 6 call day about this defective part. ".
While driving vehicle I get a strong odor of gasoline, inside the cabin, with kids in the vehicular it is dangerous for them with arsenic smell. . . . Gm needs to do something to fix this known issue on hand.

Upon starting the vehicle, raw gas fumes enter the cab in such quantities that make it impossible to drive comfortably or seemingly safely. The fume can be so bad that all windows must be opened and heads held outside of the car to breathe fresh air. My husband driving behind me on the freeway can sometimes also smell the raw gasoline odor. I have taken this vehicle to the dealer twice and they are unable to find anything wrong. I fear for health problems from breathing so many gas fumes as I use the vehicle everyday to drive 40 minutes to work and 40 m inutes back home. It is now 01/01/2012 and this problem is still existant with so solution apparant. Thank-you. Leonora kabala.
Body control module went out. Had to find the answer on google so the dealer could fix it (headlights and dash controls went on and off while driving at night) $650 front seat inop dealer still does not know whats wrong $? gas gauge inop dealer still does not know whats wrong $? catalytic converter went out this month also cost $850 water pump $25 O2 sensor bank 1 and 2 - $145 mass air flow sensor- $104 fuel filter- $11 steering rack and pinion- $195 total $1980 all these things happened in one month. I hate the Buick rondezous. Getting rid of as soon as I can.

Engine would not idle below 3000 rpm, and once almost 4500 rpm causing excessive brake pedal pressure, had to actually put auto in neutral at stoplights. This condition would occur at random times, sometimes it would seem to occur 5 or 6 times in a row, and then sometimes it would act normal when engine was started again. Unlike the idiots in the Toyota's I did put it in neutral, however there are apparently a lot of drivers that this would have been a severe problem for. This condition started may 24, ( I remember because it occurred while driving to my birthday dinner) 2010 only occurring once in a while, until engine was stopped and restarted, then by sept it was every week. I had it checked at the dealer on 10/5/10 and they ordered a throttle position sensor and installed it on 10/11/10. This should definitely been a safety recall, and funny this kind of problem was never mentioned as a possibility during the big Toyota scandal. The automobile is a 2004 Buick Rendezvous cxl with a 3400 cc engine. With 57,000 miles on it at this time.
My 2003 Buick Rendezvous has a slow gas leak.
The contact owns a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The contact smelled a very strong gasoline odor in the garage. She took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and they found a fuel leak. The VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign id number 03v454000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage). The current and failure mileages were 11,000.
My engine light came on and I took my truck to have an oil change where they discovered that gas was leaking my truck and they told me I need to have my gas filler hose replaced before it starts a fire and endanger me and my family. I was researching this on the internet and came across recalls for the same problem that I am having now. I want know how can I see if my truck is on that recall list. I am not the original owner of the truck but I only had it a year and a half. If my truck is only the recall list can I still get it fixed if I am not the original owner.
2002 Buick Rendezvous fuel gauge has never worked consistantly after 2007 on some occasion we may get something in between but mostly just full or empty. Electrical system has been replaced twice since purchase of car, head gasket replaced twice. As of yet our gas guage issue has yet to be resolved as the auto mechanics tend to just throw parts at it until we no longer have money to spend. In doing research I have seen several other owners have this issue and do have the feint smell of gas as noted in a safety recall that our car is not a part of but meets the model year.
2002 Buick Rendezvous, failure to restart after fueling or other short duration shut offs in hot weather.
Fuel system.
Gas gauge would be sporadic, would show a correct reading, but opposite of what was happening, vehicle would be filled with fuel, but gas gauge would show empty or vice versus. Vehicle has a back fuel system. Consumer stated dealer fixed the problem which was a faulty sending unit.
