Car would shut off when coming to a light slow to go when pulling off stalled had it fix at john miles Buick last summer now it started back . Car seem to shift gear on it own radio go dim them bright up by itself . John miles say they can't find the issue auto start on key chain do not work all the time even when you change the batteries.
Service side detection light came on, blind spot warning lights malfunction even when system is turned off. From other reports this is due to a design flaw of the sensor that allows it to corrode quickly/easily. Please issue a recall, many have had this issue.

Upon starting the car we have no working guages. The temperature and gas level don't work. And the following error messages show up on the dash. Service air bag, tire monitoring system, front camera, parking assist, side detection system, and theft deterrent system. The car it basically undriveable. The blinkers do not work, heated seats (though that is minor) radio stops working. We don't know what the temperature of the engine is, how much fuel we have and how fast we are going. There is only 68,800 miles on it. When I call the dealership (they're the only ones with the technology to look at this and troubleshoot) they tell me it's a few hundred dollars just to run diagnostics. This is ridiculous that the car is this unsafe to drive but I have to pay to diagnose it. Then I find out just to replace the side detection system will cost me like $700. I can't imagine what it would take to fix this bigger issue. I'm forced to pay to have diagnostics run at this point because I can't have my wife and daughter driving around in this vehicle when it's this unsafe. I also have a video I can upload if needed. But for now I took screenshots of the video and will upload them. What can be done on stuff like this? I appreciate your time, jason.
Electrical system is unstable causing ac operation problems, fan motor problems, engine overheating problems, remote door system problems, all at once while moving or standing still. This happens on city streets, roads, freeways.
2/15/2020 as I was leaving work at 10:08a. M as soon as I pulled out of parking lot and started to go my car shut down. I was going probably 23 mph: the steering wheel locked, pedal went to the floor, everything cut off. Thank god I was able to put it in park. I was blessed to not be in heavy traffic and could coast to the curb as I fought with the steering wheel to get out of the street. I tried several times to start it and it wouldn't, I got nothing, the car was completely dead. The keys wouldn't come out but I figured it out. Husband came, took out battery and took it to get checked out, it was 100%. I called a roadside service to have it towed to chevy, where I bought it in 11/2015, but when my husband was reconnecting the battery the car came to life. I called and cancelled the towi, drove her home no problem; however, something is definitely wrong 😕this care is getting traded soon no more Buicks for me🙋.
I own a 2015 Buick Verano convenience with only 28,000 miles. About a month ago I noticed the right side detection indicator on the mirror acting sporadic. Coming on when there was no vehicle in my blind spot, and not coming on as it should. After noticing that, the service side detection message displayed on the center counsel. I contacted the dealer I bought the car from and they basically told me it's a very common problem because of the placement of the sensor modules in the bumper that collect water, snow, salt and causes corrosion. A very poor design for a safety feature! approximately $1,000 to fix! I did purchase an after market warranty with the vehicle, but I believe it will not cover this because they have a clause about corrosion. I decided to just turn off the feature from the setting panel and just call it a day, seeing I have been driving for 50 years and never had to rely on a side detection system to view my blind spot. Now I get two messages when I start the carside detection system is off, and service side detection system. Well anyway, yesterday while I was driving, the indicator light on the right-side mirror came on, but the system was off. The light still stayed on even with the car shut off. After a while of driving and turning on and off the system from the settings, the light finally went off. Why would that light come on when I manually turned off the system? do I need to pull the fuse for the side detection system? I am just afraid that this is going to create other issues with the vehicles electrical system and become a safety problem. There was a special program gm initiated in April of 2019 to fix this problem, but only for the chevy cruze. The Buick Verano and chevy cruze are basically the same car. Is there anyway the Buick Verano can be added to this gm program? bulletin #n172097060 thank you!.
The side detection monitor kept saying needed to be service, then it progressed to it not turning off, and now all of the gauges on my dashboard states that it needs to be serviced: airbag, theft deterrent system, and the tire monitor system. In addition the heat will turn on and off and so is the radio.

Gear shift release switch knob broken : causing not going into park or in park position but engine won't turn off due to not being in park. There are not replacement parts available.
I've only had the vehicle a year some change. Parking break light comes when I turn the car off and goes away once I put it drive or reverse. Power steering locks on me when turning especially on the highway which is so dangerous. Also so many electrical problems with the computer in the vehicle that cause the door to lock and unlock on its own when I try to put on my fog lights the engine may rev up.
I purchased my Buick Verano on 12/29/2017. During the first while driving my eletrical system just shut down about 2-3 times. In the second year it started happening more often while making a turn or just going aroun another vehicle. From July to August the electrical system shut down about 5 times in about a 5 week span which made it very hard to steer the vehicle and all of the radio screen shut down also. This issue has me worried because at high speeds if this happens it will be very hard to control the vehicle. I have noticed that this is a common problem with this vehicle. Has the car dealers acknowledge this issue and what do they recommend to do?.
The contact owns a 2012 Buick Verano. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would intermittently shut-off without warning. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who linked the failure to an unknown electrical defect. The contact then called david Chevrolet Buick (10225 niagara falls blvd, niagara falls, NY 14304) where she was provided an estimate to have the vehicle diagnosed. The contact declined to have the vehicle diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Every since I first got car it has had problems. All the wires under the melted together and caused corrosion. Since then radio blinked on and off til now it's just a black screen. Had problems with cam shaft control. Have purchased 4 batteries in 6 years. There's something electrical that blows the batteries. If I start my car with automatic start from fob it causes battery problems. Check engine light is on now and I had it checked the code is for transmission control module. The car will be fine for a week or so but then while driving it changes gears and slows down as if it wants to stop. . It's very dangerous. Sometimes while putting the car in drive it will not accelerate even though I put my foot to the ground. Finally it will pick up speed. I'm not sure what's wrong with this car but I believe it's electrical and it's the same thing that caused the radios to go out. Sometimes the stability traction light will illuminate then it goes away for amonths. I'm afraid to drive my car. I've been on the highway doing 60 and it will switch gears and says speed is too fast for engine. . Please help!!!.
The lights on the dashboard work, and nearly every service light and message pops up. None of the gauges on the dashboard work including the speedometer and gas meter. The turn signal works but doesn't show it inside the car. The radio has to be turned on manually when getting in and out of the car. The radio will randomly shut off when driving. I've been sent away from dealerships before with no answer claiming that all modules are giving a reading so they do not know what the problem is. My cruise control has shut itself off a couple of times while driving. This car is a 2015 and is far to new to be dealing with a safety hazard like this.
Tl the contact owned a 2014 Buick Verano. While driving, the contact's two year old child wanted the rear windows rolled down. The contact looked up and noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact pulled over, removed the child from the vehicle, and attempted to extinguish the fire. The contact stated that the fire was coming from the rear window. The fire grew too large and was out of control. The fire department was contacted and they extinguished the fire. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was totaled. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist because the contact turned the vehicle over to her insurance company. The dealer was not contacted. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 72,000.
Purchased the car used from a reputable Buick dealer with 84k miles on it. 7 days later, the check engine light came on while driving home from work. I immediately brought the car home to prevent further mechanical problems and noticed that when I put the car into park, the transmission felt like it dropped and it was hard to shift. I turned the car off, let it rest, and then turned it back on. This time, the check engine light came on again. I tried shifting the car into reverse and the "r" light on my dash began to flash. I put it into drive and the "d" began to flash. I tried to move the car forward and the car had almost now power. Each shift made the transmission feel as though it was dropping and it made a very loud noise. I had the car towed back to the dealer and was told that it is the transmission control module ($1100). This happened jjust 7 days after purchasing it, and less than 2 weeks after being inspected by the dealer.
Side view mirror warning system stopped working.
The left side blind side alert failed. When driving home the light on the passenger side mirror stayed on. When I got home it was on. The next day it was off and no longer worked.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. While driving at any speed, the vehicle lost power and restarted. In addition, the wrench icon illuminated and the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to newby Buick GMC (435-673-1100, located at 1629 s convention center dr, st. George, ut 84790), but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, but they did not diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 35,500.
The key has gotten stuck in the ignition several times. This prevents the car from moving and turning off completely. At one point the car began to roll as I was attempting to get out to get assistance. I was eventually able to go onto youtube and discovered the issue was consistent with the chevy malibu, so I used the same technique described in the youtube video to remove the key. The same issue occurred on the evening on February 21, 2019. The valet supervisor went to retrieve my car and was unable to remove the key out of the ignition and the car would not move into the park gear. I would move into drive, neutral and reverse but not park. I believe my car is also impacted under the following recall number:50490 and 50491. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I turned my car on and had both the front and rear defrost. I smelled something funny, so I turned the car off to investigate. I didn't see anything so turned the car back on and pulled back into the driveway and turned it off. Within a minute or two, the entire back driver- side door was in flames. I had to use a fire extinguisher to get rid of the fire. When the mechanic looked at it, he said he had never seen anything like that and guessed it may have been the circuit to the defroster and if I had not of gotten out of the car and turned it off, I could have been seriously injured or died because the car caught so quickly.
Side sensors have become disabled.

My car stops everytime I stop or when I put it in reverse and my check engine light it on.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. While the vehicle was parked, it would turn on and off by itself. The failure also occurred while driving 45 mph. When the contact was attempting to return home, the vehicle cut off in the middle of the road. The contact had to wait fifteen minutes to restart it and drive home. The dealer (ray laethem Buick GMC, 17677 mack Ave, detroit, mi 48224, (313) 886-1700) and the manufacturer stated that they could not find any failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Blind side alert failed. Water sand and dirt gets inside.
Certain systems of my car while I am driving will shut down. For example I will be taking a turn and the power steering will go out. Other things that seem to shut down either at the same time or separately are the radio/ screen, the cruise control, blinker, ect. This has been an issue especially when I am turning and the power steering goes out. I looked online to see what may be the problem and noticed plenty of other people have had these issues as well with no one being able to find a solution.
I was never warned about my car not having oil. The oil indicator light never came on that I needed to get oil soon. My car was making a lot of noise when I was putting my foot on the gas. My car always locks up on me as if I don't have my keys when I pull up in front of the 7/11 store near my house. Key not detected comes on. I was able to drive my car without having the key with me. None of the signals to inform me that I needed oil, brakes etc. . .
Beginning in may, I started noticing odd declines in accelerations, randomly, even when using cruise control. Then, I almost stalled out on the road & lost power steering. This is dangerous & scary. I took it to the dealership & reported a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear and my radio shutting off randomly, too. After looking over my car, I was told they could not replicate the issue of losing power, and that they needed a code or an error message & to bring it back when I had that! I guess, it's ok with gm if I'm in an accident (or die) in the meantime, & I was told that the hard shift is just how the car runs. These answers are unacceptable. If a car is dangerous, you don't send a person back out on the road because you can't replicate the issue. Furthermore, a serious hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear is not how a car is made. I believe these are canned statements that are used and taught in hopes that the owner will go awaywhich I did, but shouldn't have. Then in August my car stalled out twice & I lost power steering and could have been in a serious accident. But now, things are even worse. My radio has cut off again, the hard shift is more obvious, and now my passenger seat says there is someone there when they are not, so it beeps at me. The car is possessed. There is no was it should have this many problems at one time. It seems electrical. Dealership has had it for two weeks. I had a message this time; stabilitrak needs serviced. They again said "can't replicate it", but I was not allowing that answer this time. The car is dangerous. Gm has been sued over very similar issue & some are reporting their fix isn't working & still lose power on the highway. Other 2016 gm cars have this issue. I am researching this & it obvious gm has an on-going dangerous issue & is ignoring it again. How many people have to die? NHTSA help!.
Radio shuts on an off as I drive. The engine shuts off while driving and I have to pull over to a safe area, it's so scary and unsafe.
The radio turns off and on, a stabilitrak warning sometimes comes on, the vehicle loses power and the car turns off which then locks the steering and then the car will turn back on by itself. This happens intermittently when driving in town, on the highway, turning, at any speed, regardless of whether the gas tank is full/low, with and without any accessories plugged in, and regardless of the outside temperature. This issue makes the car very unsafe to drive and it is scary when this happens. First occurrence was 8/3/18.
Service tire monitor system, tire pressure system not teading properly, service battery charging system, battery saver active, service power steering, service air bag.
Service tire monitor system, tire pressure not reading properly, service battery charging system, battery saver active, service power steering, service air bag, radio powers off & on while driving. All light indicators.
Takata recall. I the procees of driving and turning the dash board lights up and its a symbol with a small wrench . The car jerks I a whole new direction. And then another symbol appears and says power steering service and it is really hard to drive and turn while on the highway or street.
Our Buick Verano 2012 did not pass inspection last year. When the battery was changed, the date and time went back to that when the car was made. The date and time were adjusted to true date and time. During inspection, the malfunction indicator lamp was on all the time while stationary & in motion. We were told to drive it a long distance to clear itself. It cleared & it passed inspection after driving it for hundreds of miles. Then the not even one year old battery started draining itself without reason because the lights are on automatic. We jumped it when not home and charged it when home. This year it would not pass inspection saying fuel system not ready, evaporative system not ready. The malfunction indicator lamp came on again and disappeared after driving it hundreds of miles. There is only one error message now about fuel system. Mileage now is 29,449. We have used a lot of gas driving it just for the test as it started with 29,065. It does not make sense that we have to drive it just to clear it while we pollute the environment. Something must be wrong somewhere either the testing machine as it was down the first time we went for inspection or the computer system of the car. The inspection failure happened 02/2017 the first time & 02/2018 & 04/2018 the last times. The draining of the battery happened before the last year's inspection. Every now and then it gets drained again! we have to pay for another inspection because we exceeded the time limit allowed for the first fee.
