The frame has rusted out on both sides under the front of the car where the manufacturer installed water lines that dripped on the frame causing it to rust completely through on one side and the other is almost there. The dealership and an auto body man told me that it was not safe to drive. I have done everything to take good care of my car so that I could keep it for a long time. I cannot drive or even sell my car. This is a defect for the 2003 but has not been called and I want to know why? I want my car fixed by the manufacturer. . . .
My car just shut off in the middle of exceleration. . . . . . . . . This happen to me 2x. . . Once to oncoming traffic!!! and the other just before a blue line train . . . Dealership takes this very lightly. I guess someone has to die first. . It is in the shop right now. I have so many issues that I don't think I should be having or had when new too. . I also noticed that where my airbag on my steering wheel . Is looks like it is separating. . . Not sure but it is not flush. . . . I'm afraid to ask about that since all it does is cost me$$$$$$$ also I had brakes fixed that weren't that bad because of noise but the noise is still there not all the time but more frequent and it sounds like its from some part of clutch part not the brakes. . . . . New brakes didn't fix anything. . I am fixing this car more than what I am writing about. The 1st month I bought it I had to return for a bolt was coming loose on my steering column. . . Found out it was a recall. I need to talk to someone for work that was done to my car that later I found was not my work order or my VIN #. Or my mileage. . . After I paid for half the work since my car wasn't brought in for any of that stuff. . Only a stability light to be checked. . . Which after 11months when I took it back again. . . Found that was never taken care of. . Thats why it would come off and on . . . I was just tired of being taken. . . Thats how I felt. . Being that I am a women. . . . . . . .
The gas hand stopped working. Also the speedometer stopped workimg.
Street. . On Nov 2 2013 I was unable to get car started stranded at walmart 10 at night tried to get a. Battery chgd by walmart automotive dept no good came from that nxt day bought new battery had it installed . The nxt day going another stranded situation ask macs car dearler to help they advised me to have cad dearler check it out they would pay for diagnostico they could not find. Anything wrong. As soon as I left stoppe at ss building there for an hour, get to car wont start again. . Clld tow truck he couldnt get it started he lowered the flatbed to hitch my car for towing. He said let me try one more thing. He put car in n it stared making us look like fools. . The same day got hm stopped at dollar store. Good thing I live across.
I was driving down the highway and all of a sudden the vehicle lost all power. I was almost hit by the cars behind me. The timing belt had broken, and the motor is now blown due to the valves being bent. This was not only dangerous for me and my family, but is very very costly. I had previous issue with the vehicle losing power once while driving, also almost got into accident, but the mechanic could not find the cause. This was about 3 months earlier. It only happened on the highway going between 60 - 70 mph. This is so dangerous! I was over 2 hours from home, and had to pay a ridiculous amount to have the vehicle towed back home.
Driving down road it just cut off other times it just would not start I have had it 3yrs and only got to drive it 2 mths I really wanted this car but never knew what was going to happen!also some kind of seal we had fixed blew maybe a week after it was fixed.
Rear lights and plate cover just fell off and there are many many other people having the same problem.
My vehicle is under recall for the ignition. I have had problems with the ignition switch getting stuck when starting the car and a couple of times while the car was running but stopped. I have called my dealer and contacted Cadillac and no one has the part. I drive with hand controls am only 5'2 so I am unable to sit farther back as suggested on the Cadillac website page. Where can I get this fixed. Now.
