My dream car…2017 Cadillac Cts 3. 6l prem. Lux. I’ve noticed a lot of complaints with very low miles under 30,000 service suspension system, car has new perelli tires 19” and the driver front tire went flat. What’s going on, I don’t want the dealer to take advantage of me. I can’t understand why this vehicle would be giving me problems so soon purchased from calstar mercedes dealer on [xxx] of 2023. I am writing regarding a recent incident regarding the left front control arm of our 2004 Cts Cadillac. There was a recall for the lower control arm ball nut/washer attaching the control arm, which could lead to disengagement of the control arm, disengagement of the wheel and tire, and possible crash. We purchased the car in 2015. The Cadillac service center in beverly hills confirmed that they have records showing the car was inspected, and the recalled piece replaced in 2006. The dealer at that time was named martin Cadillac. The night of [xxx], my son was driving the Cts on the freeway at about 50 mph, when the front left tire and wheel suddenly twisted out of place and rendered the car undrivable. Fortunately, he was not injured or worse, but he was stranded in the middle of a busy freeway for more than 30 minutes until aaa arrived. The car was then towed to our home and towed to our mechanic the following day. The repair needed and done was to replace the left front control arm, precisely the area noted in the recall notice. Also, it was necessary to repair the undercarriage that was damaged by the dislocated wheel and tire. The left front fender was also damaged by the action of the detached tire and wheel. The total repair cost we paid was $793. 13 for the control arm and undercarriage. We are not currently driving the car, as we are concerned that the car is still unsafe. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

He was stranded in the middle of a busy freeway for more than 30 minutes until aaa arrived. The car was then towed on a flatbed to our home and towed on a flatbed to our mechanic the following day. During normal driving, my service stibilatrak light comes on. While the message is on, the tcs kicks in and it grabs the wheel and stops the car. I've been reared ended once and two barely missed collisions. When the tcs activates, it stops the car completely and the only way to drive the car is to turn it off for a few second and then restart it. That resets the computer and turn the message light off. The tcs or abs does not come on in the dash, just the stilibatrak message in the message center. Once it's turned off, it does not come on until the next time the tcs activates. I've had several diagnostic tests to check the problem or get a code but there is no code. I've been told that the car is clear of codes. The dealer cannot find a code or the problem. I've spent several hundred dollars on trying to locate the problem. The car, as is, is a death trap. I can't drive it because I don't know when the traction will kick on. I've taken good care of my car, nice bodywork and low milage but it's not safe to drive and no one knows how to fix it, including the dealer. At $200 an hour to try to find the problem is unforeseeable financially on my pension. One option is to junk the car for $200. I can't donate or sale it because it will not pass MD inspection. I can't trade it; I can't afford another car note. I've had this issue for almost a year. This happens every time I drive it, so I had to buy another car which I was not ready to buy. No major damage to report.

I was driving and it started rattling and getting very bumpy. I exited the freeway and came to a stop. The vehicle would no longer move. I had it towed to my mechanic. The right front axle broke. He replaced it and drove it around the block for a test drive. It was very loud and turning tight when the left axle broke. It has been diagnosed with a bad differential. Everyone I have spoke with at multiple Cadillac dealerships, including someone at a dealership over 30 years, have said they never seen this type of problem and especially on such a newer vehicle with only 84,000 miles. It was a very dangerous situation and if it never happens why did it happen to mine? I’m thinking something is faulty in the differential etc.

Our mechanic told us that the differential is making a grinding sound and he add differential fluid, but said the problem would only get worse. The car only has 62k miles on it and it is very expensive to have the differential replace/repaired. I feel that this is a defect of the car and should be recalled by Cadillac to have the differential replaced. For the differential to go bad at 60k miles is unacceptable and is terrible reliability.
At 45mph the right front wheel shudders. It only happens occasionally. I've checked it on very smooth roads to make sure it wasn't the conditon of the road causing the shudder. Sometimes, when the car shifts, it shifts very hard as if being bumped in the rear. I had it checked and I'm told it may be a transmission issue but not sure. The original tires are on the car and at 48 thousand miles they have worn even. I've had the front end checked for alignment and the front wheels balanced. That is not the issue.

My car is a 2014 Cts vsport. I have owned the vehicle since August of 2017, and it had 42,563 miles when I purchased the vehicle. I have had tire issues with the car since day 1. The 1st week I owned the vehicle, the tires had to be replaced, although they had just been replaced prior to my purchase, the car was making very loud noise while driving and it was determined they had uneven wear. along with this, the rear axle system off light would occasionally come on. Nothing the dealer could find with it and it always seemed the light would turn off when it was at dealership. Now 2 additional sets of tires, and the rear axle system off light not turning off, I was told rear axle pieces need to be replaced to include the rear axle pins and pump, costing 2700. 00. Along with this repair the car will need to have tires realigned due to uneven wear and rear brakes. The dealer stated they cannot replace the rear axle under the recall because the recall is incomplete with no solution. in addition, they told me my car is unsafe to drive due to risk of the rear tires locking up while driving the vehicle.
In January Chevrolet burien did servicing on my vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle after 3 weeks of them having it; they gave it to me with a flat tire with several studs in my right front tire and there was an inch of water on the inside of the vehicle. I requested management and they denied me and forced me to move my vehicle off the property in fear of my life. The electrical components on the inside are no longer usable. There was mold all over the inside that seriously effected my asthma. Their management still has not contacted me about remedying this issue. They also damaged my glove box so that the water that they let leak into my vehicle wouldn't build up and cause more damage so they were completely aware that they were letting my car flood while storing it.

While the touchtone screen has failed twice and Cadillac has replaced it more important than that is the fact that the car was ordered with the carbon fiber wheel package and those wheels have cracked/ cant hold air pressure the dealer has replaced one but said they cannot replace the set of 4- my daughter has had 4 issues of tires going flat while driving- fortunately she has not had an accident yet but this is a severe safety issue that Cadillac doesnt want to resolve is there a recall or safety issue with these carbon fiber rims? my daughter no longer feels that the vehicle is safe and does not want to get in an accident wh she or someone else gets hurt - please help!.
On 3/23/2019 bought bridgestone tire package for 2012 Cadillac Cts performance. My vehicle requires 2 sizes of tires, 265/45/18 & 235/50/18. The tires are almost bald are 265/45/18 potenza. On 11/29/2019 tire check light comes on to check tire pressure to right rear tire. Since weather is cold, I expect the tire light to come on and off when air has been put in. I went to discount tire to put air, and the tech indicated the back 2 tires has a thread depth of 2 and unsafe. I immediately went to firestone complete auto care who I got the tires from and installation. They put the tire up on a scope and both 2 tires in back were almost bald in the middle. The thread on the outer tires seemed fine, but the middle section of the tire was almost completely bald. The tire technician took my car for test drive to see if there were ball joints, suspension or other issues that may be causing the wear on the tire and the tech found none. I go faithfully every 3,000 miles for oil change and tire rotation at the dealership so if there are issues, I would have known about them and correct them immediately. There were no issues found and the only explanation that firestone can give me is that these tires are not made for your car since it was a performance car.

Bought a used car from auto boutique on 10/15/19 with car fax report showing no structural damage. When we test drove the car we notice the check engine light was on and a vibration. We were told to make an appointment and they would address the issue. Went on 10/18/19 for my appt, was there 8 hours to no avail, was told vibration was from a bent rim and that I would have to take car to a Cadillac dealer for the check engine light. Made an appointment with ritchey's Cadillac on 10/25/19 and was told the car was unsafe to drive, the gas tank isn't safe, 3 bent rims, the accident caused the airbags to deploy and were not reset properly, and this was one cause of the check engine light. The vibration and noise came from rear suspension bent in several locations, etc. I have a report from richie's Cadillac stating above, plus pictures and a estimate to fix. I notified auto boutique that I wanted to return car fro refund but got the run around, all they said was all there cars are sold as is, the have the buyers guide that is signed with no boxes checked. There are no signs stating cars are sold as is. We traded the car in on a new vehicle and asked for a refund for the difference, $18,000, I was told to return the car and they would fix the issues and call me when it was done, I stated it was too late for that because I had traded it for a new one because it wasn't safe to drive. We have an estimate to fix, photos and all paper work from the sale.

4 flat tires in weeks. Design flaw with the wheel. Tire sidewall is cut by the wheel when hitting road imperfections. They are low profile tires but they do not handle basic road imperfections. The wheel and tire combo renders the car unreliable for transportation.
Front hub bearings damaged at 77,000 mile and again at 129,000 miles. Cadillac forum has multiple people complaining about the same complaint.

Just purchased car on 8/29. Car has several serious defects mechanic check. Transmission is dragging while in motion upclimb. Im motion, vehicle shakes and can not steer. There are also several open recalls on the vehicle that I was not aware of at time of purchase.
The contact owns a 2016 Cadillac Cts. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact heard a rumbling noise and the wheels malfunctioned. The contact took the vehicle to faulkner Chevrolet (298 stoke park road bethlehem, PA 18017 (866) 457-4666) for routine inspection. The mechanic diagnosed that the two front wheels and rear driver's side wheel were bent due to defective aluminum. The wheels were not replaced. The manufacturer stated that the warranty had expired. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.
Safety hazard: defective pirelli tires; pzero nero; within a timeframe of only 15k miles 5 pzerro nero tires needed replacing due to tire pulling away from rim, then bulging and final sidewall would blow out. Regardless, if the car is in motion or stationary this will occur with each tire. First 3 tires were covered under the extended warranty that I purchase with pirelli. Tire 4 & 5 was rejected to be replaced by pirelli until the tires actually blow out. Two very large bulges in the front & rear drivers side tires. My car was at the dealership for service (cue was replaced malfunctioned) and I was notified that pirelli rejected replacing the tires even though I purchased the warranty. I refused to drive the car out of the dealership with 2 two tires that have a bulge at the sidewall ready to blow out at anytime. The dealership provided me a loaner car while I filed a complaint with gm concerning these defective tires that are on these Cadillac's. Gm's customer service team is managed poorly to say the least. I got a case# 8-3230449470 and I was told there will be resolution within 48 hrs, that was on Aug 31, 2017. It is now sept 7, 2017 and I have not heard from the team and it is not resolved. My car still remains at the dealership unable to drive. Since I did not receive any service from the customer service team I raised the issue to the gm executive service team. Another case# 8-3253040006. I advise the team of the safety hazard of these tires. I will not endanger any of my passengers or anyone on the road with these defective tires that will blow with less than 3k on them. I have researched these tires and customer complaints all over the internet. Innocent people are driving on these tires on the expressway going 85 mph not knowing that a tire or tires will have a sidewall blow out. I have taken a stand with gm by not driving my car. Please resear.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Cts equipped with pirelli zero run flat tires (na), size: 235/55zr17 (na). The contact stated that the front tire experienced blisters on the sidewall. The contact stated that the failures occurred after hitting potholes at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the tire was defective and needed to be replaced. The failure occurred approximately eight times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dot number and VIN were unknown. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 43,000. The tire failure mileage was 5,000. (jcc add sidewall).
In the past 2 1/2 years I have 7 tires replaced. The side-wall of the tires split and I believe this has to do with the defective wheels. These are 18 inch wheels and I believe they are poorly designed resulting in the tire splitting. I have never experienced this sort of reoccurring problem in any other vehicle.
Vehicle cut off on railroad track while I was crossing it,. It would not start, key stuck in ignition switch and I could put the vehicle in park, front wheels shake while driving in the city, while traveling on open highway I hit a bump and the vehicle jumped out of cruise control and stops. I had it fixed by edenton motors in north carolina. There is recall on Cadillacs, but not on our 2005 Cadillac Cts. .
4 tires have split the side wall due to impact on the road in the last year, pirelli pzero run flat p245018, tires seem defective with side wall splits after minor impacts.
Takata recall ws driving the car - I was at a complete stop while attempting to turn in parking lot - then sounded like a pop - the bottom ball joint fell completely out due to screw falling off bottom called several places for part and several wouldn't even give me a quote due to a recall then I call gm dealership in columbia mo and they state VIN # are off buy 270 I feel like it should be covered due to the fact that it done exactly the same thing other Cts.
2014 Cadillac Cts. Consumer writes in regards to four flat tires due to low profile wheels. The consumer believed in order to eliminate the problem, Cadillac needs to replace the 19 inch wheels and tires with 18 inch wheels and tires that came equipped on the vehicle. The consumer stated she was never informed the 19 inch wheels and tires would be so easily damaged, just by driving on the highway.
When turning the steering wheel in either direction, left or right, of the vehicle, there is a loud metal-on-metal noise. The vehicle has been taken twice to mcguire Cadillac where I was told that there was "no fix at this time. " I have contacted Cadillac headquarters numerous times and, unfortunately, no assistance has been given. On December 30, 2015, while driving 60 mph on the right lane of a highway, I suddenly lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle veered across to the left across three lanes on the highway. The vehicle did a 360 coming to rest facing oncoming traffic where I had no control of the brake or gas pedals in the vehicle. After coming to a halt, I was then able to gain control of the vehicle. It was a very scary situation.
Blow out, no donut or spare provided. Had to tow car to dealer to replace 2 month old tire. All autos should come with replacement tire or donut tire.

Driving down a highway w/ brand new sumitomo tires for rear purchased on 1/10/15, the rear right tire blew causing me to loose control sending me into the guardrail then spun out into the highway landing horizontal across all lanes of traffic with my trunk end in the hov lane. I was then struct by a box truck, spinning me back around and totaling the vehicle. The sidewalls to the tire we still attached to the rim and the tread face had detached.
I was travelling south on rt 10 providence rhode island when I hit a pot hole, that split the wheels diametrically, and deflating the tires. The wheels are manufactured by tsw, jarama, 20 x8. 5 5x120 et35, and 20 x10 5 x120 et35 respectively. When the wheels split, I lost control of the car, but managed to get the car over to the side of the highway. I called the ri state police and filed an incident report. My concern is the wheels spit similarly even though they are of different sizes, different batches, and split the same. This resulted in a very dangerous situation, and I thought would be important to report the incident. I did contact the manufacturer, and they said I must of hit something significant to cause two wheels to break. My perspective is they failed identically which suggests a design issue, and a not a product issue.

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system sensor light had illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the air pressure in the tires was normal. The tire pressure monitoring system was reset but the failure continued to occur. Also, the contact indicated that while attempting to start the engine the odor of fuel was present inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the exhaust needed to be cleaned. The exhaust was cleaned but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 70,000. Pam.
The back rear is making a loud noising, like there are big tires on the car. The mechanic said its the penion seal. I looked up the issue and there is a recall on the penion seal.
The transmission cooler lines blew out of the radiator. The transmission fluid was blowing out all over the egine compartment front tires, front brakes, and onto the road. I saw on some forums, where they stated that this was a common problem for the caddilac Cts. And I wasn't sure if anyone else had filed a complaint. It definitely was not a safe situation to be in. To be honest, I have owned/driven a number of cars, starting from a 1950 chevy. I can't believe that the cooler lines blowing out of the readiator is now a problem. None of my previous vehicles had this problem and they were definitely not in any kind of pristine condition.
My husband was driving in our community, about 15 mph. He made a right hand turn and the control arm snapped in half, the wheel broke off and the frame came crashing to the ground. We have owned the car for less than 3 weeks. Aaa towed the car to the nearest dealership. The dealership refuses to fix the car under the manufacturer's warranty claiming that the car had to have been in an accident. We have neighbors who heard the thud and came to see what happened. There was no accident/collision. We have driven the car a couple hundred miles. This shouldn't have happened. Cadillac told us we needed to file a claim with our insurance company. The dealership estimates $12,000 in damage.
I was driving and heading on a curve I didn't see that it was 25 mph and I was going about 45 and I brake and I slid, hit a tree about three fists thick slide on my drivers side which is completely smushed in and rolled over and fell straight into a ditch up side down.
