Windshield Problems of Cadillac CTS

The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, the rear windshield shattered. There was no impact to the rear windshield that could have caused it to shatter. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and requested photos of the vehicle, the contact's driver's license, the vehicle registration, and vehicle title. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Absolute horrible noise from windshield. Gm has "denied the problem on other vehicle even exists" and insists that there is no defect. Bs. I am researching a class action lawsuit against gm for all these Cts complaints, recalls, and defects on the 07 Ctss that are being neglected by the company!.

Wind noise around windshield. Complaint to dealership 3 days after purchase 8/14/07. Now 1/8/08 dealership says cannot be fixed. Unbearable wind noise that is very distracting to driver and passengers. Music must be turned up so loud to cover up the sound of windows cracked. The higher mph, the louder the sound. This is very dangerous and frustrating for the driver!.

: the contact stated while driving various speeds, there was a reflection of the sun on the windshield from the dashboard. This only occurred while facing the sun directly. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer who recommended that the manufacturer be contacted. The manufacturer was not notified.

2004 Cadillac Cts-v, a popping sound was coming from the front windshield, this happened in any type of weather and at any speed, this was the only problem with the vehicle, consumer took vehicle to the dealership,. The dealer heard the noise, but did not know what was the cause of the problem. Dealership told the consumer to go ahead and drive the vehicle. Consumer did not feel that it was safe to drive the vehicle because of the noise from windshield.

We purchased sts in Aug 03 and noticed the first day a small hairline crack in the front windshield, upper right hand corner. . . Mataga replaced the windshield and advised us that it was a stress crack and they had other units with this condition. . . I noticed one year later, there is a crack in the replaced windshield at the same location!!!.
