Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1999 Cadillac Deville. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at any speed and when applying brakes brake pedal will go to the floor causing extended stopping distance. Dealer notified.
While driving 25-30 mph rpms went up and vehicle started to accelerate. Consumer applied brake, then shifted to neutral. Rpms then went to 45000. Consumer applied brakes to slow down vehicle. Dealer could not find cause. This happened a second time on July 23, 2002. The problem of vehicle accelerating when brake was applied occurred again but the dealer was unable to find the cause.
Was braking when vehicle failed to decelerate. Would increase speed. Took to mechanic, and was informed problem cannot be located after being there 4 times.
