The contact owns a 1999 Cadillac Deville. The contact was driving 35-40 mph when he heard the anti-locks brakes exhibit an unusually loud squeaking and humming sound. The contact stated that he was a certified mechanic and had experienced the failure eight months ago. The contact discovered that the failure was caused by the hub assembly, which he replaced. The contact stated that the hub assembly was in need of a second replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 71,850 and the current mileage was 72,000.
