Driving from exit ramp onto highway car was very difficult to keep in center of lane, is seems to be better after stability system replaced in steering column. Was not called in for recall of keys until, 12/05/14. Heater stopped working by 50%, electric door lock stopped working approx same time. Brakes not working as well, same time frame. Everything was checked out in Feb; this year, although started noticing steering problems August, September. , 2014. I thought it was a slow leak in the tire causing the steering problem, although now believe it had something to do with the stability control system, steering column area. We were charged for the repair, even though it falls under the recall complaints. What we thought was going to be a $100 or $150. 00 job, as I ok'd them to use the multi-point inspection machine and check anti freeze level, costs us $688. 15. The first estimate was over $4,000, unbelievable, in which the agent said " they had to pay the mechanic for his labor". $533. 76 for labor, $131. 50 for a part which is a recall. Service stability control system . I will be going back to talk with GMC manager.

I drove up to valle parking, stopped to insert valle parking key. Ignition frozen-could not insert key. Steering wheel locked. Could not contact onstar. Everything froze? called onstar with my cell phone? they sent a wrecker to tow car to Cadillac dealer(approximately 25 miles away). Cadillac advised "ignition lock cylinder jammed and will not rotate". Cadillac dealer "coded and installed new ignition lock cylinder", for which I paid $632. 86. Should this be included in "ignition recall"? shouldn't I be refunded the $632. 86 I paid for these repairs?.
While driving the engine would stall intermittently. It frequently happened on the freeways while driving 55 mph, but was not necessarily confined to freeway driving. It happened on side streets and while crossing the railroad tracks and intersections. We took the vehicle to our dealer. They told us repeatedly that they couldn't dupicate the problem. Between October 2013 and Jan/Feb 2014 we spent over $2,000 for different parts the dealer thought was the problem. To be fair, part of the money was spent for brakes and other service. My husband passed away Jan. 28, 2014 and the vehicle was at the dealers. It still wasn't fixed. I asked them to please keep the car and see if they could find why the stalling was happening. They kept the car for about 2 weeks and called and said they found the problem and they would only charge me for parts and not labor. I believe this vehicle shoould be on the recall list. I, too had problems with windows falling down.

My Cadillac Deville 2004 windows have all been replaced first it was the driver side window fell all the way down couuld not get to go up then front passengernside made a cracking sound so I put the window down and it sound like it was going to crack then took my car to my mechanic and he says wow I have never seen a good car like Cadillac have so many window problems so now that I got these 2 fixed my mechanic says maybe excersize your windows every time you get in car so I did then it was the driver side back that got stuck and then the other went in a couple of weeks all I did was making my window s go up and down I live in the desert on a dirt road so my windows never go down at 250 dollars per window that really needs to be looked into. So now I will never roll my windows down again I have tape over the buttons so that no one will use them.
All four windows are defective. They fell down one after another starting a year after purchase, and will not say up. This issue is widespread and popular with this model and year vehicle. They made a crackling sound and fell down for no reason of my own. I was quoted a price of $199 to repair each window. It is 2013 and I still haven't repaired any of the windows. This vehicle needs to be recalled to repair this factory defect. This issue is very disconcerting, embarrassing and a nuisance.
1. There is no warning the car just slow down at any speed and turn the steering wheel. 2. It happen all day long and other days no problem. 3. I have taken the car to one dealership for repairs at least 3 times and once in va. Each time they either did nothing or they guest at it because they could not figure it out. Now they refuse to work on it until it totally breaks down. However, the employee of the dealerships have charged my warranty company at least 5,000 and the warranty company does not want to pay any more money for guessing. Therefore the dealership is asking me to pay 94. 00 an hour so they can guess some more. Lastly, I was told when leaving the dealership that I declined further diagnosis which is not true. He also told me that it looks like a possible major electrical problem and if that's the case they are waiting for a major car fire before they try to correct the problem. In that case it could be to late for me, my girlfriend and her children. One or all of us could be killed in a electrical fire. I have had this problem every since I bought this car 04/27/2007, and the last incident was 07/07/2009. Updated 01/13/10.
