10 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2009

Within the past 20 months, I have had three of my window regulators break on my 2004 Cadillac dhs and have paid over $1000 to repair two of them. The third is now going to cost me $690. 00. I contacted gm and they refused to do anything about it claiming it is not their problem. The service manager at the local dealership advised there is a problem with 2001-2004 models and their window regulators. I also notice on-line that there are many complaints about the window regulators breaking, however gm refuses to do anything about it. Is there any way that this could be looked into by the federal government and possibly cause a recall on these items because obviously gm is refusing to admit that there is a problem. Thank you for your consideration.
