Body Problems of Cadillac Deville

When I entered the car one day the dashboard had fallen without me knowing what had happened. I asked around to see if it was a way to fix it or if they had known anyone with the same problem. I use my vehicle to get back and forth to work and it's the only car I have but the condition of the car is getting worse and the dashboard is coming apart more.

The abs & traction control indicators come up on the screen along with check as I'm driving. When this happens my brakes make a weird sound like a sprung spring and the brakes feel like they're gone but they're not. It's scary be sure I feel I may not be able to stop which to me is a safety hazard. No codes show even though the check light came on, but none of the indicator lights ever stay on very long, it's off and on , off and on, just pops up occasionally, all 3 together every time. It may go days before they decide to pop up on the dash again. The first time this happen I was just heading out for work so the car has not been driven since the prior day it was stable on level ground as I started backing out of my driveway. When I reached the point to apply the brakes that's when the weird baked sound accompanied by the brake paddle feeling like my brakes weren't working and dash lights appeared. This happens during braking. I was told that the tire pressure sensor,/ monitor thing could be the cause. That's another thing. Why have tire pressure effect the workability 9f my brakes and traction control? they have nothing to do with tire pressure. Also the electric rear windows seem to be an issue since day one. Every owner of the 03 Cadillac Deville has complained of the windows just falling out of place both outside & inside the door for no reason other than a bad design defect. Why should the consumers continue to replace the windows at no fault of ours? gm has known of this issue from the first year of manufacturing, yet it is us, the buyers, consumers that are paying and not just out of money but the risk of broken glass hurting a backseat passenger a child or adult that could potentially become a law suite for gm. This is why it definitely should be a recall.

Was involved in a front end crash going 48mph and the drivers side air bag or any other air did not deploy. There was so much damage to the front end that the car was totaled a complete loss. I would like car to be inspected for faulty air bags and also front end for faulty equipment as did not hold up well with crash. This vehicle only had 78,000 miles and was in perfect condition prior to crash. I was told there was a recall on the airbags and with that much damage and speed they should of been deployed this is a major safety violation. I was driving east bound at 48 mph car in front slammed on brakes I tried to avoid them and went to the right but there was a pole and another truck so I pulled back to left and it the car in the rear. At no time did the air bags deploy I would like an investigation started prior to car being totaled and removed by insurance company.

The trunk does not open from the inside or out, with key or without, malfunction or defect in assembly of vehicle. I took the auto to the dealership (turlock - smith Chevrolet Cadillac, inc. ) and was charged for them to look at the problem and they attempted to break into the trunk without success. According to the dealership I was told this model year has a problem with this defective issues. There is no way to get into trunk without dis assembly. Basically breaking in to the trunk and rebuilding the entire lock down assembly. I am extremely depressed, I can do nothing about problem other than re-assble the whole mess Cadillac created by this malfunctioning issue.

My clear coat paint is pealling on the hood and roof really bad.

Friend was driving my car at the normal speed limit and the car cut off. When the car cut off a car hit her from the side which caused the car to spin out of control and hit another car! the air bags never deployed and she was hurt badly. The key ignition recall for the 2003 Cadillac said that it will cause the car key to shift and could cut off while driving. This is a serious matter that needs to be taken care of because her neck and shoulder and foot got injured very badly because the air bags didn't deploy!. . . . . . Updated 01/12/bf.

I drove up to valle parking, stopped to insert valle parking key. Ignition frozen-could not insert key. Steering wheel locked. Could not contact onstar. Everything froze? called onstar with my cell phone? they sent a wrecker to tow car to Cadillac dealer(approximately 25 miles away). Cadillac advised "ignition lock cylinder jammed and will not rotate". Cadillac dealer "coded and installed new ignition lock cylinder", for which I paid $632. 86. Should this be included in "ignition recall"? shouldn't I be refunded the $632. 86 I paid for these repairs?.

Window regulators are faulty. When they break the window glass falls to the bottom of the door panel. This has happened twice and is a safety hazard at highway speeds especially in inclement weather. An internet search reveals this is a common problem with Cadillac.

Window regulators have broken. All (every) (all 4) window regulators have broken without warning and required premature replacement. This was a hazard since security in bad neighborhoods was compromised multiple times, also was unable to keep criminals and rain out of car on multiple occasions causing damage to interior.

The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Deville. The contact was driving 25 mph when she applied the brakes and the brake pedal was depressed into the floor board abnormally. In addition, there was an abnormal increase in stopping distance and time. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the contact discovered a brake fluid leak under the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis where it was determined that the brake line was rusted thoroughly. The contact also stated that the rear doors were not able to be opened from the interior of the vehicle. The failure and the current mileages were 85,000.

The contact owns a 2002 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that during a routine inspection, a hole was discovered in the floor pan due to a leak coming from the battery, which was located under the rear seat of the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure who stated that the vehicle was no longer under warranty and there were no recalls for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted who offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 27,450.

When I got the car the car wasn't painted good at all and the ignition coil was bad.

Consumer received NHTSA recall # 01v172000/manufacturer's recall 01039 concerning sunvisor failure. Called dealer about getting an appointment for repairs. Consumer kept calling dealership and was told by service manger that no parts were available. Consumer still has not received recall repairs.

Sunvisors on passenger's and driver's sides will not push fowaard beyond verticle position, blocking drivers vision. Consumer has contacted the dealer. Please provide any further information.

Sunvisor blocks my view out the front window. It is an assembly with two visors. The small visor interferes with the main visor. I can not see a traffic signal with the sun visor down. It is fine for short people, but not for me. Dt.

The poorly designed sunvisors on the car cannot be pushed far enough forward to allow proper visibility, when pulled down they stop directly in fron of drivers eyes. Nlm.

The sun shades on both the driver and passenger side do not go forward far enough to permit frontal vision due to design.

The visor is very wide and cannot be folded forward in such a way that it covers a smaller segment of the windshield making traffic lights not visible within one city block. Nlm.
