[ ] I had purchased my car used. I found that there was a recall on this model. I went online and ran the VIN # and confirmed that. I called the dealership and explained they looked it up and confirmed it needed to have the original plastic fuel rail replaced with a new stainless steel fuel rail. They informed me that they had to order the parts from michigan an it would be 2 weeks for the parts to get here and then we could set up an appointment to bring the car in. Over 2 weeks later they called and we set up the appointment I had started the car the morning of the appointment for it to go to the dealership. I needed to grab something from in the house so I turned it off to go back in my house. I was answering a text on my phone and as I looked up to get out of the car there were flames coming out from between the fender and the hood. I rushed to the front of the car to put the flames out. . I just got the car a d couldn't afford to let turn to the ground. I took off my hoodie and used it to ut out the flames while doing so the hood came down and hit me in the back of my head,I burned my left hand pretty badly and burnt off my arm hair. I have had a ringing in my ears since I was hit in the head. I called the dealer and told them what happened and I would have to get it towed in. They said okay it took three days to get a tow truck because we had a snow storm. The tow companies were booked. I got the car to the dealer and exspected them to start the job. the parts were ordered and there. It had been over 3 weeks now that had gone by since I first talked to the dealership and they ordered the parts I was waiting for. Now the car has been there for over a 2 weeks and not even been touched . I was finally told by the service department to call customer service about the recall. I called the # I was give spoke to someone and explained everything. After I was told they didn't know why I called. The dealership should just handle the repair. I called service and re.

Takata recall - the air bag light is staying on all the time. The service engine light comes on occassionally after I put gas in.
One day I could smell gas fairly strong, and then I stopped at a friends shop, opened the hood and you could see gas spurting out. As I was looking up this part and then spoke with someone that informed me that yes there had been a recall on the fuel rail and that it was closed. Of course I had to park it to keep it from catching on fire. . It's a 1996 Cadillac Deville and it's in mint condition. I am asking for some help in getting this repaired/replaced.

The car started accelerating, on its own, up to 40 mph from a stop sign or red light. The gas pedal was not stuck. Legacy Ford in lagrande, oregon has told us it is an internal problem and they will have to put their diagnostic machine on it. We have already paid them 179. 36 for labor, gasket and cleaner. They had told us to bring the car to them if it happened when we were in town so they could test it further. Last week I was in town and it happened so I took it to them. They couldn't diagnose the problem at the time so that is why they need to use the diagnostic machine. I tried to report this to Cadillac but they weren't interested in my problem.
The wheel monitoring light continues to indicate a malfunction. The ignition switch slot prevents me from removing the key. To remove the ignition key, I have to manipulate the gear handle in order align the extraction of the key.
