Wheel Rim Problems of Cadillac Deville

The consumer indicated the four original sets of rims completed rusted from inside to outside. The dealership indicated to the consumer, this was the result of the salt used on the street. Please provide further information.

2003 Cadillac Deville. Slow leak in left rear tire. When the consumer went to the dealership, they informed him the tire was leaking because the cast aluminum rim had deteriorated and pitted on the inside under the tire. An investigation was done and the consumer was then told, the deterioration was a result of environmental conditions and not a defect. The consumer did not believe that to be the case, since the deteriorated surface was not exposed to the elements.
