Was backing out of my parking space and the warning icons on my dash,(service brake system, stabiltrack, traction control. 4 years ago I had to replace a (yaw) that goes under the driver's seat because moonroof is leaking so I sealed the roof. The yaw controls the stabiltrack. I took it to a auto parts store to get diagnosed and it says speed sensor or possibly a wheel hub. Ive owned cars for 50 some years and never had this problem. The car only has 110,000 miles. Iam tired of problems related to this issue as I said first was yaw ,now hub for car. There must be other owners that have had this problem. This is supposed to be a luxury automobile and miles aren't high.
The 2007 Cadillac Dts has heated/air-conditioned front seats. They went out. Looking on the Cadillac users' website it seems to be a common problem. The connectors burn out, even though they are connected to a 30 amp fuse. Having an electrical system short out under the passenger seat can be life threatening. Request a recall on the faulty connection box under the passenger seat. The heated rear seat is fine.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Dts. The contact stated while driving 30 mph the contact turned on the right turn signal which caused the light to burned out and burned the housing of the headlight. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to independent mechanic were it was diagnosed with needing to be replaced a new headlight housing assembly. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. The contact stated local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure.   the failure mileage was approximately  39,700.
Engine failure do to poor design and oil leaks. I had this happen on the highway witch is very dangerous. The whole engine needs recalled. The electrical system is a night one my fuse box's needed replaced because a fuse burned out, witch melted a good portion of it. Major fire hazard!!!!.
2007 Cadillac Dts has been giving me problems with leaking water from either the moon roof or roof itself near driver's door. The floor gets soaked with water and has caused a part called a yaw under the seat to short the wiring out and had to be replaced because it controls the tail lights and tail lights and brake lights were staying stationary when driving so car behind me has no indication whether brakes are being applied. I replaced the yaw but the roof is still leaking and it could happen again and could cause the floor to rot out from repeatedly getting wet when raining. I feel this is a serious safety concern and should be fixed by Cadillac.
There was a recall on this igition switch before. The igition switch is not locking and so is the steering wheel. My vehicle was stationary when I discover this. I'm afraid this may cause others issues.
Heated seat connector melted.

This car is a 2007 and we bought this car in 2007 and got a recall on windshield washer module, we take it and they replace a wire. Next we get a recall wanting to disable and remove heated windshield washer module. The recall reads like this, recall information recall important, our priority is your complete satisfaction. It is not our complete satisfaction to take this car in and dismantle it, and so for we haven't done so and have no intention of doing so. The problem with this car should have been fixed by general motors and it hasn't been. Not very happy about this.
The heated and cooled front seats have stopped working. May possibly be a fire hazard. Should rightfully be recalled.
Connector under front passenger seat melted due to some sort of high current problem. From what I read on the Cadillac forum, this is an obvious design flaw. . Read more...
The plug that connects to the heat/cool module has now melted on the yellow/red wire which is about a 10ga wire. I have read many forums and online articles about gm having this problem on many other gm vehicles. This is a huge problem which can result in a fire since the wire gets hot it can possibly ignite the padding underneath the seat. I should not have to fix this myself it should be repaired by the dealer. I currently have about 47k miles on my Cadillac and the heat and cool seats no longer work unless I make the repairs.
Daytime running lamp (drl) / turn signal bulb appears to have melted the headlight housing. Bulb failure caused owner to discover problem. Melted housing will no longer accept bulb fixture. This seems flawed and results in a safety issue where turn signal on front of car is inoperable without expensive replacement of entire headlight housing. New housing may not solve heating problem that causes melting. This problem, and similar consequences of excess lamp heat, is reported by other owners on the Cadillac forum.
9-02-2010 driving 70 miles per hour on I-75 n, 1. Cruise suddenly cuts off. 2. Car slows to 4-5 miles per hour. 3. Speed odometer cuts off 4. All safety lights come on 5. No brakes 6. Anti lock brake light is on. Very dangerous situation. Since then car has been to dealer for the same type of thing six times. After first incident dealer kept car approximately three weeks. They could not duplicate the incident. Local dealer very helpful but cannot fix. Filed complaint with Cadillac, case number [xxx], no help. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Ref. Odi number 10289768 unexplained acceleration. Upon further study I believe the problem originated in the electrical system in the engine control module ( ecm). Has a solution to this problem been presented?.
When at idle speed the engine suddenly accelerate to a high speed. I was surprised and placed the car in reverse. I shot backwards, where as I shifted to drive. I hit a solid object and the car was heavily damaged. I could not hold the car with the brakes. I totally panicked.
Like many other caddy owners are having problems with the twilight sensors operation. Problem being the headlamps come on too early and go off too late resulting in a dimming of the interior dash illumination. This causes the driver not to be able to determine vehicle speed. . . Especially if its still bright enough out for sun glasses to be used. My 2007 Dts and others. . Read more...
