The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Dts. The contact stated that while stopped, the temperature gauge increased. The temperature gauge returned to normal once the vehicle was shut off and restarted. In addition, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed that water pump was leaking. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer also discovered that the head gasket was blown due to water and anti-freeze mixing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.
