Nothing has happened other than there is a current airbag recall on this vehicle. Many other makes and models also have this takata airbag issue and they have been fixed/or replaced and the recall is lifted. Yet Cadillac/gm is still refusing to have this done so I am currently driving a vehicle which the NHTSA says it not safe yet Cadillac says it is and no one has taken the step forward to remedy this problem. My husband recently passed away in a horrifying manner and all I want to do is give my stepson who lives in canada (I live in los angeles) I just want to give my stepson his fathers truck and because no one wished to solve this problem I am unable to do this. I simply cannot understand how the NHTSA can allow us to drive a vehicle they deem to be unsafe yet not force Cadillac/gm to solve this problem they feel is no problem. Can you imagine the possible lawsuit that could be placed against Cadillac/gm and NHTSA if anyone was to get seriously injured because none of you took the step forward to force to have this issue solved just like Toyota, BMW, Tesla, SAAB and so many others have done. Someone needs to do something rather than allow this issue to sit in a state of limbo as "incomplete/remedy not available. And what a name a person would make for themselves to push this to be solved. Some has to help me, please! I just want my stepson to have his fathers truck. . Please help me!!!!.
My vehicle has a recall on it for the takata airbags. I spoke to general motors (conversation #9-5580708180) and they said there is nothing that can be done until NHTSA provides a solution. The fact remains I am driving a vehicle with an outstanding recall that I can't get fixed.
My vehicle is part od a takata air bag recall and gm refuses to do anything about it. I have called periodically asking when the repair would happen and was told it is being phased in and I will get a notice. I just called again and the new answer is that gm doesn't think they should have to replace this and will not do anything until their objection can be resolved. They will not commit to replacing my recalled airbag.
It is clearly outlined on the gm and NHTSA websites that my specific vehicle has a defective airbag by the takata corporation based on a finding in 2016. I do not understand why I am not allowed to make my vehicle safe and must "wait" per the gm website which states recall status incomplete. Remedy not yet available. What do I need to do to get the airbags replaced with safe ones in order to make my vehicle safe for me and my family to drive in? let this be notice that if anything happens to me or my family due to the three (3) year delay and current remedy of "not yet available" to make my vehicle safe I will take all appropriate legal action against all parties involved!! I want my vehicle approved to be repaired!!.

I am told that there is a takata airbag issue with no remedy. I would like to have it replaced as this safety risk could cause me serious harm.
Takata recall - my vehicle is listed as having the takata airbag installed and recalled - gm recall # 2049151 - NHTSA # 16v381. When I called gm they said the recall was on hold and I could not get my car serviced under the recall. These air bags have been proven to be deadly and I do not understand why gm is holding back form allowing me to keep my family safe and perform the recall on my vehicle.

Takata recall issued 5/2016by mail to my house. Nhtsa#: 16v381 recall 49151. Called hoehn Buick Cadillac in carlsbad, CA. Replied that gm hadn't sent out partsyet. Called again & went to dealer on 11/21/2016 & finally 9/19/2017. Same story. Spoke to gm vince love. Vince love.
Takata recall. My car has been under recall since 2016. The Cadillac dealer is refusing to replace the faulty airbag(s). I contacted gm online, they claim they have replacement airbags from takata but gm doesn't deem it necessary to make the replacement on my vehicle at this time. Is the NHTSA airbag recall an optional recall to be performed or refused by the manufacturer?? when will you all get serious and make gm/Cadillac comply with the recall and replace the defective airbags????.

Takata recall I had made several attempts with two of the local Cadillac dealers to get the recall solved but continue to get the same response; "the recall isn't a safety issue!" as of yet, there has been no contact made by any of the dealers on getting the matter resolved and instead some of the sales department representatives are making offers for me to trade in or sale them our vehicle. We average over 20,000 miles a year traveling as a family and my fear and concern are that one day our safety and security may be placed in jeopardy due to a know matter that should had been resolved timely. So far there had been no incidents but I shouldn't have to be driving a vehicle that's deem to be unsafe due to manufacturers reasons.
I has been over a year since the recall and gm states that they don't have a remedy. Why? when will the remedy be available? why have a recall if you can't remedy the problem. Simply replace the item!!.
Takata recall . I am afraid to drive this vehicle. This is traveling vehicle so it would normally be on highways at over 50 miles an hour. Question would I be safer to have this disconnected? who could do this. I like most people can not afford to trade vehicles and really would rather not. Now the case is settled wit takata. That's just great but it does not fix the problem. If I paid to have it replaced can I get reimbursed at some point. . Now the case is settled I expect some manufacturer needs to supply hundreds of thousands of these. What would your professional opinion be as to how long it would take for the vehicles to be repair. How much less is my vehicle worth at this point due to this issue. You know they complain about government intervention, well this is just another case that we need someone to look out for us since companies are greedy and willing to provide false data to down steam manufactures to supply them products. Suggestion to motivate repairs : cut salaries of top 20 executives to 1/3 of their pay until all vehicles repaired. This will get their attention. Fining the companies does not effect the exec. S as much as direct financial impact would on their lively hood. They make the decisions this would make them more directly responsible. Thanks for your time and service.

Takata recall letter received from gm Cadillac nearly 2 (or 2+) years ago. Have been to tom peacock dealership that I purchased the vehicle from every 4-6 months since then. Told every time that they can't help, they don't know when replacements bags will be in. I purchased my vehicle from gm Cadillac - not takata. I want gm Cadillac to replace these defective air bags immediately.
