Dear NHTSA, my name is fadi azar, and I am the owner of a 2024 Cadillac Escalade esv, VIN 1gys4pkl6rr249466. I am submitting this complaint because Cadillac and their dealership have failed to address serious safety recalls on my vehicle, despite repeated attempts on my part to get them resolved. ? ?? recalls involved: 1. Nhtsa recall 25v274000 / gm n252494000 – engine defect that may cause engine failure or power loss, leading to potential crashes. 2. Nhtsa recall 24v674000 / gm n242447990 – brake fluid warning light software may fail, increasing the risk of brake issues. ? ? why this is critical: I operate a professional black car service, transporting vip clients and executives. The front upper control arm on the driver’s side snapped in half, resulting in the complete detachment of the wheel while the vehicle was in motion. The failed component is still in my possession and available for inspection upon request. This failure placed both my life and the lives of others at significant risk. The wheel detached while I was driving, which could have led to a catastrophic crash had it occurred at higher speeds or in heavier traffic. I was extremely fortunate that the failure occurred under conditions that allowed me to bring the vehicle to a stop without injury or collision. A suspension failure of this nature represents a critical safety hazard. The failure has been physically verified by both the service center where the vehicle was taken after the incident and by gm’s assigned third-party inspection service. A visual and mechanical inspection confirmed the fractured upper control arm and resulting suspension failure. A second opinion from an independent mechanic is being pursued as well. The vehicle was inspected by a third-party claims investigator assigned by gm, who reviewed the scene and the damage. I have not received a full report or documentation from gm or the inspector, but I am requesting it formally. The incident was also documented by my insurance provider. The police were not called, as there were no injuries or collision with another vehicle. There were no warning lights, messages, or error codes on the dashboard prior to the incident. I did not observe any unusual handling, noises, or vibrations that would have suggested an impending mechanical failure. The control arm failure occurred suddenly and without warning while driving under normal conditions.

The tires that were delivered on my new auto were deflective and dangerous as reported by the dealer on 10/1/24. The tires were wearing abnormally. One of the tires was worn so badly that I was warned that it could have blown at any moment. The tires had less than 16,000 miles. The car was maintained at the dealer every 5,000 miles. I was not notified about the defect until a worker at my home noticed the severe wearing of the edge of the right rear tire. (photo attached). As a result of the warning from the dealership I had to replace all 4 tires as I was warned that all of the tires will end up with abnormal wear within a 5,000 mile period. The problem was inspected and confirmed by the dealer. There were no warning signs, alarms or other signs other than at the time the rotation of the tires at 16,248 miles. The cause in my opinion was defective tires from the manufacturer (bridgestone alenza) tpc spec356ms 275/50r22 111hm+s. The dealer stated that the auto might have been out of alignment but did not find any malalignment. I was informed by the dealer that I was lucky not to have been in an accident. I have photos of the defective tires.
Driving carefully out of [xxx] here in walker minnesota using the newly opened east side of the parking lot exit and 50 feet later as I accelerated the heavy full size spare tire fell from under the rear of the truck and my 2002 Cadillac ext left the ground as the tire bounced back up against the truck!!! if we had been going faster and in a different area we may have been killed! it's a terrible design to store a full size and very heavy spare tire. Thanks information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Driving 94 west bound jumped off my seat and remembered I didn't just hit anything on the road. Tire passed me and seatbelt strangled me when it pulled. Grabbed ahold of steering wheel and made sure not to hit any objects or anyone. Something hit my face and got discombobulated from the seatbelt. Had to remember that I needed to unbuckle seatbelt. All airbags deployed except steering wheel airbag vehicle was flipped. Crawled out of the vehicle picked up by ambulance to hospital. Not on my right temple wer went down, discharged and loss of the taste and smell except smell of brain matter from within followed by fluid drip in nasal cavity.
Er to case number: case#9-6698447273v 3136671128 vera Cadillac case escalated and I am not getting through. Just want to make sure that I made the effort to each our to dealerships and headquarters to no avail. And if this is really is what is happening, this is what really need to be done properly: per lemon vehicle with extended warranty program, with defective equipment (manufacturer’s defects)failure to service right rear tire request per fotainment alert. Plus steering wheel airbag failure to inflate and deploy upon collision, resulting internal injuries, including, but not limited to loss of smell and loss of taste due to this defective automobile. Also note: diagnostics mentioned vehicle was up for a possible recall with its fuel system.
Loss of taste and smell except for brain matter followed by nasal drip in back of throat. Steering wheel air bag did not deploy. Right rear tire pop in freeway 94 westbound on 13 Friday November 2020. Usaa sent diagnostics of vehicle's recall information. Called manufacturer of vehicle to report recall and denied off recall and info on insurance diagnostics sent. See uploads:.
I have taken my Escalade to the dealership for a shudder issue. They have agreed to fix the transmission since I am at 35k miles but they come up and said my wheels are bent. After my rotation last year, both wheels are now on the rear of the truck. I know that I have not hit anything or went over anything that could have damaged my wheels. This has to be some type of defect but the dealership wants to charge $1600 for two wheels. As I said, my truck only have 35k miles and I am the only one that drives it. With these wheels being bent, there is no physical damage but I worry that it will mess with my suspension.

Car is vibrating when you stop in traffic lights it fills very uncomfortable . I took the car to the dealership they didn't do anything and 2nd problem is steering wheel it gives metal knockin noise on the road bumps.
06/14/2019 I was driving my Cadillac to escalate esv traveling from baltimore to washington DC 95 south band. 12:04 pm my vehicle flip over. I almost lost my life. After the accident, I inspected the vehicle. I found that left the rear wheel of the car; come out of the vehicle. Wheel locks and axle bar of the tire cut off and broken. This caused flipping of the vehicle.
I was coming home from work Saturday, 4/21/18 and when I got on the ramp to take I-40 east in knoxville, TN, my front passenger tire felt like it was going to come off, the steering wheel pulled me to the right. I started to drive slow and when I picked up speed to see if everything was ok and it appeared to be. Get further down the beltway, almost home and my tire brakes off at the axle and rolls across 3 lanes.

I had a badly corroded brake line rupnture and nearly wrecked. I took it to the dealership and after 2 days they say they won't fix it. They say they are not familiar with lines routed through the frame, or between frame and body. They recommend a full body removal and they refused. Faulty trans modules and peeling/leaking stock rims.

I purchased a new 2014 Cadillac Escalade in 2014. I have 61,000 miles on the vehicle. I took the car in yesterday for a tire repair at which time the technicians informed me the tires were cracking and they could come apart. The new vehicle came equipped with bridgestone 285/45 r 22 tires. I replaced the tires today with a different brand of tires. When I was at the tire shop today, there was another person with a Cadillac Escalade, same tires as mine with the same problem. I'm wondering if this is a manufacturer issue that might affect other people. I have pictures of the tires that I will try and attach.
Tires losing air due to poor chroming process, aka paint on rims, fake chrome paint is peeling off on inside of rims, (since gm doesn't like to rustcoat any of their parts to save a couple $) causing tires not to seal to rim, as well valve stem hole is no longer round due to flaking paint and air is escaping here as well. This could lead to tire blowouts and probably has, and was probably blamed on the tire or road hazards that weren't there.

The contact owns a 2016 Cadillac Escalade. While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle vibrated violently. The failure recurred each time the vehicle was driven. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hennessy Cadillac (3377 satellite blvd, duluth, GA 30096, phone number: (770) 680-7000) where it was diagnosed that the tires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that they would call him back and opened case number: 82691800383. The approximate failure mileage was 26,549.
We have had to replace four wheels now need a fifth due to leaking air pressure. No help from Cadillac. Just buy another wheel. They are junk. Constantly adding air. Now one is completely flat. Tires are in excellent condition.

I have contacted gm and Cadillac and they only think their parts should last as long as extra warranty you pay for. So 3 years. After that, all parts are ok to fail in their eyes.
Failure of the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Caused loss of vehicle control, loss of abs, wheel detachment and wheel fire.

All 4 factory rims are deteriorating and are causing the tries to loose air and go flat in traffic.
Lighting we own two Escalades from 2008 and have the same exact problem in both cars. Condensation in the headlights and burn them out we were quoted $1,000 for each headlight to fix min!!! heated seats are out in both trucks rims are pitted and pealing. Have had a problem with the rims weeks after rolling out of the showroom so disappointed.
First occurance: 3/05 noticed tire pressure gauge light up in vehicle, went to gas station checked all tires and filled front passenger tire. One day later same tire pressure light on, went to tire shop to fix flat tire and was told that the rim had three hair line cracks in it , took rim to dealer and dealer would not replace. Second occurance: 7/05 same thing happens but to front driver side rim. The vehicle hasn't even been driven enough to get a flat tire let alone a rim with two hair line cracks in it. Dealer will not take responsibility for these rims, and won't even discuss the possibility of a defect. I still have both the rims. I hope you can help me in this matter. Thanks andrea benson.
My 2004 Cadillac Escalade esv, the factory chrome wheels have rusted and peeled and interferes with safety sensors associated with tires. This has been a progressive problem since the first time the tires were rotated at 6 months. The manufacturer has refused to correct the ongoing problem.
Chrome lining of wheels has been peeling for years. When first appeared factory rep from Cadillac/gm inspected car and stated only cosmetic (car was still under warranty). My concern was that it would eventually go into the interface of the tire and wheel. I have complained to gm several occasions. It has. Has been brought back to dealer numerous times where it has been acknowledged to be a problem and that they had a fix. This fix was performed numerous times at dealer and other tire dealers, mr tire and goodyear. All of the tire dealers have knowledge of the issue right away. The issue in also noted many times on the internet. We can check pressure and load tires to specs go on a ride on highway and feel some loss of steering after a hundred miles. Then need to add pressure. This is a chronic issue with acute instances that has potential of creating an automobile accident especially at highway speeds. Dealer wants $1000. 00 per wheel to replace plus labor. Gm not interested in any financial help or acknowledgement, case # 71-1423629281 (January 13, 2015). They stated that they "have to follow company guidelines", that the "issue is tricky because I have called numerous times in the past but there is no recall", "the year of my vehicle precludes any fix", "our guidelines only cover up to 8 years" . . . . . . Please help. This is a known issue with a fix that does not last (and I have to pay for), and has the potential to cause loss of steering and an eventual accident.
The rear wheel failed, causing complete wheel separation from vehicle, three bolts where found to be completely sheared at hub.
