The vehicle was then taken to an authorized dealer in the united states who provided a software update and the ecm controls were replaced, but the repairs did not remedy the failure. The contact received a customer satisfaction notice from the manufacturer, which was unable to be honored since the vehicle had a salvaged title. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
