The front suspension was making a lot of loud noise, especially when driving over any bumps. I took it to the local Cadillac dealership and was told there are no lubrication fitting on the front suspension of the 2010 Srx and it had seriously worn out tie rod ends and control arm and they needed to be replaced immediately.

Tl the contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise and an intermittent failure regarding the rear suspension. In addition, the rear of the vehicle swayed back and forth. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the rear differential failed, which caused difficulty when turning the vehicle in either direction at low or high speeds. The vehicle was not repaired. While driving approximately 35 mph on the highway, the rear of the vehicle swayed in both directions. As a result, the vehicle spun out of control across four lanes of traffic and crashed into a median. None of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The driver sustained a head injury, neck and back pains, and headaches. The front passenger sustained a sprained left thumb, and neck and back pains. The rear passenger sustained back and muscle pains, and feet injuries. All the occupants received medical attention. The vehicle was towed by the police to an impound lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the crash. The failure mileage was not available.

I bought the Srx used in September and since then I have had one issue after another. If I accelerate too quickly my transmission, (I think), has a very loud ratcheting/popping sound. My service suspension system error msg comes on every time I start my vehicle. I have read that this could be related to the air compressor not working or faulty sensors. My service stability system error msg also comes on every time I start my vehicle. This seems to cause the traction control feature to mess up, which then on occasion when I press my brakes, even slightly, my brakes lock up and I skid for just a second. My power steering fluid seems to continually leak or the pump is bad. I have refilled my resovoir many times and I constantly have a very loud "whining" sound. My power steering system also seems to go out occasionally and my vehicle is very difficult to turn.
I just brought this SUV sept. 2014. Last week I was going around a curve. The rear end swerved and the tires rolled over the curve. The air bags deployed and the car stopped, the car was towed to a Cadillac dealer. ( weeks before I found out about the recall on the air bags, seat, suspension and seat belt. ) so, when I told the adjustor about the recall he just brushed it off and said," it's not the recall. ". I don't think the adjustor worked for an outside company. I need to get my car independently checked so I can find out if it was the recall items. How could my air bags deploy from going over the curve? the car has no damage. . . None! I think the dealer does not want to fix the recalled items or they fixed them wrong. Because my driver seat was making some crazy sounds the weeks before the airs bags came out. Plus, I told the dealer and he said all the work was done to the car. I think their lying. . . . Is there a government place I can have the car checked or can you send someone? can you please help me? thank you for your time.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated the vehicle lagged in acceleration and delayed in the braking system when attempting to drive at various mph. The contact also mentioned the rear suspision made a very loud abnormal noise whenever driving at higher speeds without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (jim clark Chevrolet-Cadillac 911 goldenbelt blvd, junction city, KS 664410) however the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and narrowed down the failure to a faulty sensor which did not conclude the issue. The contact referrenced the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 14v212000 (power train) and NHTSA campaign number: 14v571000 (suspension) the vehicle was part of the two recalls howevere the failure reccured after the repairs were made. The approximate failure mileage was 8,400 tp.

Passenger side head light has ongoing electrical short goes out indicates on the information center then will randomly come back on took it in to the dealer no fix. Also when turning to the left or the right there is squeaking noise from the tires and suspension it gets worse when cold out. To pay 55,000. 00 for a car and have ongoing issues. It also got new head gaskets at 51,000 miles and a new transmission at 43,000 because it wouldn't go in to reverse one afternoon. Had to be towed to a dealer was replaced under warranty.
Rear suspension over the smallest drop in pavement smoothness causes heavy noise which feels like it's bottoming out, the noise is extremely loud and disconcerting. All passengers so far have commented on it. Cadillac says this is normal (the bottoming out sound) this is definitely not acceptable for a car of this cost. It's driving me up the wall waiting for the next bang !!!.
I purchased the car new, but the front suspension has been a problem from the beginning. Squeaks, rattles, vibrations and thumping prevailed from the beginning the dealer replaced a strut after 10k, then steering and then bushings. However, all the symptoms above remained. At lower speeds, the vibrations worsened, as did the moaning, the rattling, etcetera. Otherwise, the car as a whole has been reliable, including engine and brakes. I performed all scheduled maintenance religiously, I drive gently and mostly highway. A new dealer opened closer to home, and I began going to them. Last December, I asked them to repair the front end, after years of enduring a lousy ride. The vehicle now had 80,000 miles. After 3 days, and $1700, the dealership seemed to have fixed the issues, with new struts, bushings and steering coil. However, within 3 months, all the original defects reemerged. In fact, the vibrations worsened, with a feeling that the entire suspension was loose from the chassis, and vibrational thumps at highway driving sound like an 18 wheeler when it drives over train tracks, with booms, as if the axle disengages from the entire mono-frame. The engine has been reliable and fine, I like the interior and exterior looks. However, I strongly believe the front suspension is a fundamental design flaw and has robbed me from enjoying any moment in this vehicle. Finally, I am getting more concerned about the safety of the front end. If the dealership can't improve it, when I schedule my service in two weeks, I will sell my car in despair, but I'm deeply disappointed in the performance of this vehicle, the awful ride quality, and chronic symptoms which no car should ever display. I sincerely hope you consider this problem in this vehicle. Thanks.
