Tire Pressure Monitoring System Problems of Cadillac SRX

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated the tire pressure monitoring system warning light was illuminated, indicating that the tires were at low pressure. The contact stated that the pressure level was at the correct specifications but the warning light was still illuminated erroneously. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and where repairs were made however, the failure recurred. The contact stated tire pressure monitoring sensors were defective. The manufacturers recommended tire pressure be 32 psi . However, within 24 hours the sensors suggested the pressure dropped in all four tires. This caused the warning lights to illuminate, signaling low tire pressure. The sensors provided a false reading which alerted the contact that air should be added to the tires. This caused improper pressure to be added, resulting in over inflation. He took the vehicle to the dealer three times for this problem. Each time the dealer calibrated the sensors. This procedure temporarily remedies the problem.
