As I’m driving with cruise set my brake lamps intermittently flashing without breaking and the cruise control potentially disengage. A software glitch in the body controls module. Plus, my passenger light says the dim light it out when it’s not. I’v had a mechanic replace the light multiple times and he says it something in the wiring.

I have replaced my low beam 4 times and it’s still showing the light is out and it is. My cruise control disengaged when I’m driving above 65 with the cruise set and there’s no cars in front of me.
Stabilitrak light comes on that also causes the engine light to come on. The vehicle self-accelerate while in park and did again when in drive. Can not tell you how fast the rpm accelerated due to panic that the vehicle was self-accelerating but it didn’t last long. Really quick and it went back to normal idling. Vehicle is scheduled for inspection today 1/20/25 at classic Cadillac atlanta. No warnings were given, lights(stabiltrak) just came on. Also the suspension rides very low. It feels like there are no shocks either front or rear.

Screen completely unresponsive and delaminated.
Cadillac cue radio spider web cracked. After doing further research I have found that gm has been aware of the issues and has still yet to do a recall or work with people on replacing them at no cost as the radio screen is something out of the consumer hands. The whole touch screen will go out as I’ve read and not be able to use any radio function or control anything else the radio screen does.
Message”stalbility track needs service” while driving, speedometer and rpm hands become unstable with lights for traction coming on. Then car shuts down with no acceleration. Have brought to gm service several times and they can’t find the problem.
Numerous problems for a year have been: engine dies while driving, car totally dead with new battery, display partially black randomly or totally black along with radio display black, park assist is turned off. Headlights turn off and on by themselves; the latest is driving up a hill @ 25 mph, the steering wheel jerked hard to the right at 2 different times. Had I not had a solid grip on the wheel, it would have taken down a 500 foot drop and we wouldn't be here today. This last episode is the first time their obd was able to read anything. It read "no communication to steering, no communication to brakes, radio, dash display" and other no communications. This car is unsafe to drive and should be recalled or taken off the road. It has been to 2 dealerships and so far have not identified anything that gives me faith in the reliability in the vehicle.

The major component of this car is the cue screen. The cue screen is connected to the ability to defrost and cooling/heating system in the vehicle. Currently, the cue screen is frozen and the operations of varies systems are at a halt. This is a safety issues. Currently due to leather seats unable to cool in extreme heat and have had some minor burns also, the cooling sysyem is not working due to the freezing of the cue screen, there are many complaints of this matter since 2013. There should be a recall on this issue for safety.
The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac Xts. The contact stated that they parked their vehicle and approximately 5-10 minutes after doing so their vehicle caught fire. The fire department came and put out the fire. A police report was filed. There were two vehicles and a bicycle nearby that caught on fire as a result of the contact's vehicle fire spreading. There were no injuries and medical attention needed. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened case regarding the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

The electrical system failure warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to safely drive the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle then lost motive power and was towed to a nearby pep boys, where the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be taken to the dealer for service. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.
Hazard lights go on automatically while driving. This creates a huge safety issue, especially when driving in high traffic areas as other drivers may mistake hazard lights as turn signals. I brought my vehicle in to a Cadillac dealership in December of 2020 to replace the hazard light switch. They replaced it with oem parts, and the issue started happening again in April of 2022. The hazard lights will also engage when the vehicle is not running, so this discharges the battery to the point you need to buy a new one. Cadillac needs provide customers with safer hazard switches. This is the second time within 2. 5 years the hazard lights need to be replaced.
When turning to the right the vehicle sometimes will completely shut off in the turn. This is an intermittent issue, but when it happens it shocks you. When the vehicle does this it drives you into on coming traffic. You have to stop the vehicle, put it in park to restart, once this is done you have to go through a reset mode shown on dash.
The car shut off while I was driving mid speed. This has happened multiple times luckily I wasnt on the highway. But this has happened many times so glad no other cars hit me, or I didnt crash with my kids in the car. This is so scary and I need Cadillac to look into this issue.

The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with the battery needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred four months later. The contact then took the vehicle back to dealer where it was diagnosed with the radio needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken back to the dealer for the fourth time where it was diagnosed with an unknown fuse needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,435.
Dic(digital information cluster) fails to come on when I start the car. This is an electronic dashboard and also affects all the steering wheel controls including cruise control, turning signals and heads up display. Without the system you are essentially driving blind. I notified Cadillac customer service a few months ago and they said they would replace the part but I would have to pay for the labor but they have not done so thus far. This instrument failure apparently happens often and through 2015 they had a service call to replace the part but I was not notified and it did not happen in my car until recently.
$70k for a vehicle and the screen spidered. Cadillac says not under recall. Not usable.
Vehicle radio and dashboard is completely blackout, started flashing and later went black in a month time.
I purchased this car in December, 2019. The first problem is that they had to changed the radio. The second problem with the car is that the hazard 4-way flasher stopped working and was on permanently and because of that it killed the car battery. I called the Cadillac dealer and they told me to bring the car in. I git it jumped start and took it in that was in August, 2020. They told me the switch was no longer good and needs to be changed. It cost me over $400 to be fixed. On the day I picked up the car I noticed it a signed on the dash but I did not know what it meant but the car started to bounce. The following day I was on my way to NY from NY so I took lots of highway, from 287, rt 80 and so on into long branch, NY. On my way I almost lost my life because the car was bouncing out of control. I called the dealer and reported what had happened. Matthew told me to bring back the car to see what happed. I left the car for couple of days I think it was 8/28/2020. He called me on 9/1/2020 to let me know that the air suspension control module had failed and it would cost me over $1700. 00 to be fixed. Since that time the car has been sitting in my drive way and cannot drive because I do not have that money to get it fix. The car only had 56,000 miles on it and that should not have happen. Does this car has a defect and should be recalled? I am paying car payment and insurance for a defected car. Please let me know what I should do here. While driving the airbag light came on I took it to the dealership to have it check they said the passenger airbag need a new module and also while driving the hazards light came on and also came on while park in my driveway.

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 39,000.
After I got to work and parked my car I went back to get my coffee mug when it appeared that my car was lowered to the ground as if all the air went out of all of the tires. The air suspension I suppose. Also, my display screen has gone out twice since I bought the car six years ago.
Last year, we bought our car from a dealership used. We noticed the Cadillac cue was very glitchy. We took it into the dealership and they calibrated the system. We were on a trip using the gps and it glitched several times. Had to pull over and set up our phones. Nothing works in the Cadillac cue when this happens. Climate control, gps, apps, wifi, and music. Took it back, told it was no longer under warranty and gm was aware of all the issues yet refuse to do a recall. Dealership said eventually it would shatter. Well, yesterday, we got in our car and noticed it had in fact shattered. Top right corner and bottom left corner. This is a huge hazard as it would cut someone. The system glitches whether the car is moving or setting still in park. Called gm today and they basically said it was on us.
Cadillac cue became non-responsive. We were traveling in a rural area at night with no cell phone service and was depending on the gps in the car. This presented with a safety issue since it was no longer working. This will be the third Cadillac cue that has been installed in this car and it has 75k miles on it. The part alone is over $1,200. 00.
Infotainment center malfunctioning. Climate control, backup camera and nearly every convenience and safety feature disabled. Cadillac has attempted to fix 5 times and now says that it can not be corrected. Cadillac also acknowledges that this is a known issue. Screen pixelates and/or goes black when the vehicle is in motion.

For the last few days, the car has been losing all electrical power. Most recently the car lost power while driving. All other times the car was stationary. Have not driven it since Saturday 02/22/20, when died while driving.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Cadillac Xts. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the human machine interface module malfunctioned causing the back up camera not to display while the vehicle was in reverse. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer findlay Cadillac located at 993 auto show dr, henderson, nv 89014 who diagnosed that the human machine interface module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The module was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
The cue screen has gone black for the second time within a year. I initially thought it was a defect with the screen itself the first time around. I took it to prestige Cadillac and had it replaced. Everything worked fine until about 2 weeks ago when it went out again. Not only did the screen go out again, but all the steering wheel controls and my turn signals. I took it to prestige again and they told me it was the radio receiver which costs $800+ to replace. I suggested they look into the electrical system and they said it would be $650 to get a diagnosis, and repairs could be in excess of 2k. I'm appalled that I should even have to keep paying for this faulty vehicle. I didn't build it!.

The VIN was not available.
Cue information system failure. This system failure presents a safety issue being that the navigation system does not work and the hands free also does not work. There seems to be a lot of system failures so, I'm sure that there are a lot more concerned owners.
Here's an excerpt from an email I sent to mary barra at gm and steve carlisle at Cadillac. . . This particular Cadillac has a problem. You've known about it ever since 2014 and have done everything to avoid owning and fixing it. I'm referring to the touch screen on (almost) all of your cars from model years 2013 through 2018. Not only does the navigation system no longer work but Cadillac owners can't access the radio, heat/cool controls, fan control, defrost settings, etc. This becomes a huge safety issue when I have to take my eyes off the road to try alternative measures. I can't even use the car's phone icon in emergencies. Fix the problem with the touch screen. The message you're sending to current and future used Cadillac owners is not in your best future business interests. You're also putting all Cadillac owners in jeopardy. If the Cadillac name and reputation doesn't mean anything to you then why should I, again, buy a Cadillac for my next car. You're killing an american icon.
The cue screen locks up and becomes inoperable several times a day. It causes the heat or a/c to not work properly and I am unable to use any function. The failure prevents me from properly heating or cooling the vehicle, use the nav function, and the screen will automatically reprogram my settings, make beeping noises, and become a significant distraction while driving. Safety related issue.
Left brake light repaired numerous times- under and after warranty, still not working. Cue system cracked post warranty not usable, navagation hazzard, backup hazzard does not allow for hands free driving. This is a common issue, should be a recall as replacement is very costly and the problem repeats with the replacement item cue.
The Cadillac cue screen freezes while I am driving the car (vehicle in motion - or could be stopped at red light, but engine is on). This has happened dozens of times during the past 1 year that I have owned the car. I am suddenly unable to increase/decrease volume, change radio station, cannot use gps, cannot adjust anything on the cue screen -- it is completely frozen. The only way to get it working again - pull off to side of road. Shut engine off; get out of car; lock the car doors; re-enter the car; start the vehicle engine - usually the cue screen is once again responsive at this point. This is a major pain as during a recent 1 hour drive to pennsylvania, it happened 4 times and I had to pull over to the shoulder of interstate highway I-195. Exiting any vehicle on an interstate highway is somewhat nerve-racking.
Forward collision system has not been working properly for the past 3 years the car has been in for service for this problem the last time was March 1st 2023. I nearly had 3 accidents due to the system not working. The last contact was holman Cadillac I was told by the service manager he would set up appt with the factory service rep and he has not gotten back to me by today's date June 12th 2023.
