I have a warning service side detection on my dic and I took it to the Cadillac dealership and they want to charge me $1500 to change a module in the rear bumper. They know that this a common issue with a lot of gm vehicles especially Cadillac. I want to file a complaint against this and ask for a recall because I was told that if I don't fix this issue it will stop other things in vehicle from working like the brakes or steering while driving the car. This is very dangerous and I wish something is done about this before someone gets hurt over this issue that is widely known from gm. Thank you for your time and god bless.

6 months after I purchased this vehicle the cue system completely stop functioning so I had that replaced at lee Chevrolet costing around $1000. Now the rear shocks are stuck in the upward position causing a ride similar to a gocart. This is going to be my last repair on this vehicle then it will be no more Cadillac's for me. This vehicle only has about 80,000 miles on it so I feel gm should have a recall on these cars im sure they know about all of these issues with a car costing $50,000 plus when it was new.
The major component of this car is the cue screen. The cue screen is connected to the ability to defrost and cooling/heating system in the vehicle. Currently, the cue screen is frozen and the operations of varies systems are at a halt. This is a safety issues. Currently due to leather seats unable to cool in extreme heat and have had some minor burns also, the cooling sysyem is not working due to the freezing of the cue screen, there are many complaints of this matter since 2013. There should be a recall on this issue for safety.

Brakes squeal when vehicle placed in reverse on inital movement after setting all night (interstate battery) battery drained totally dead after 1 year of service on new battery. Car was driven to store, parked, after shopping the car was dead would not crank. Nothing was left on to drain-----mechanic said it was inherant on some vehicles.
Cue radio, climate, navigation, bluetooth system keeps freezing up. Now the screen has begun to spider crack. This is a very common problem amount all cadilac's models using the cue system. It is strange that they haven't a recall and fix.

The Cadillac electric cue system screen malfunctions causing the operational system to shut down. This involves the heating, navigation system etc. . . This has been an ongoing issue with Cadillac since 2013. The only way that they will repair the system if it is under warranty.
The navigation system in my 2013 Cadillac Xts is inoperative. Cadillac has known about this issues since 2013. The screen cracks and the navigation and heater controls do not function. . Read more...
The cue system in my car does not work and has not worked since September, 2018. This affects the navigation system, phone system, climate controls (heating and cooling), radio and weather channel. Right now the system is frozen. This issue has been know by Cadillac since 2013.
In the last two years the car randomly has a complete power failure and loss of power and electrical while driving. Without warning the engine shuts down and all lights, dash panel, power steering, power brakes, etc completely shut down requiring the car to coast to a stop and put into park at which time the car will restart. This has happened approximately 10 times in the last two years. The dealership informed me it was an issue with the battery and replaced but occurred again a month later and they had no codes to indicate what was happening. On two occasions the car lost power in heavy traffic and wouldn't start for 10 minutes at which time it suddenly had power with the radio and lights turning on again. Looking online I've found numerous issues similar to mine with 2013 models but no fixes have been found. This is extremely dangerous to have happen driving in heavy traffic and suddenly have no power, especially without power steering or brakes requiring longer stopping distances, and time to attempt to steer to the shoulder.
Radio, navigation, cd, any media connection: cannot access anything except the 5 saved stations can be accessed by the controls on the steering wheel. Power windows: on two occasions we found all four windows down and the car was locked. First time, when we returned to our vehicle in a walmart parking lot. Second time, the vehicle was parked and locked in our carport.
My Cadillac cue touchsense touch screen is no longer functioning at any time, sitting still or while the vehicle is in motion. The screen is spider webbed (delamination of conductive layer of material behind the glass) and no longer allows me to set things like the collision avoidance, auto-braking and lane departure options as well as many other non-safety related features. This is clearly a manufacturing defect and I have read at one time Cadillac had a backlog of over 4000 vehicles waiting on replacement cue modules but yet no voluntary recall. Hopefully the ntsha can look into this matter and require Cadillac to correct this problem for owners no longer under warranty since some functions set with the touch screen are related to vehicle safety (collision avoidance, auto-braking and lane departure).
Radio touch screen not working,(navigation, clock, hard to get radio to work, can't get to navigation, can't set clock, or use either icon on touch screen).
Electric power steering goes out and makes the car impossible to steer or maneuver. Check engine light comes on while in motion and the car loses speed causing other cars to almost rear end you on city streets.
Code; 6001 cpa cue screen does not respond to touch. I took a look on social media, and this turns out to be a very common occurance with the Cadillac! I feel general motors knew about this malfunction and a recall needs to occur ASAP. Also the customers that paid to have issue fixed, should be reimbursed as soon as possible! issue happened while vehicle was moving.
The cue touchscreen is not working. All warnings and safety CO cern's will not show. Tried hard reset as Cadillac advised with no luck. Car is out of warranty and Cadillac said the cost is over $ 1500. The car is two years old and Cadillac and gm knew of this problem since 2013 and did nothing to remedy it. It's a hazard and after servicing none of the warnings can be changed. You can't use hands free calling etc. It's very dangerous and distracting to operate a vehicle with the information center inoperable. Check the internet for this problem and you will see there are thousands if complaints dating back to 2013. This problem started about two months ago.
Purchased my 2017xt5 9/13/2017. While driving down a main street, I stopped for a light. When the light turned green, the car would not move. Could not turn it off nor could I try to put it in another gear. A kind gentleman, who was behind me, got out of his car and asked if I was okay. I told him the car would not move. He tried. No luck. . I got behind the wheel again and tried to shut it off, again. Eventually, it shut off. I pressed the started again and it rebooted. Very scary. . . Prayed that I would make it home. Next at, called the dealer. Even afraid to drive it in for fear of it stopping but I was close to home. The dealer kept it for 3 days. Could not find out what was wrong but was told that they could not diagonose it unless it stopped. My brother took his car in for repairs and told his mechanic that my car stopped, just idled, in the middle of a main street and started laughing. But his mechanic said "was it a Cadillac"? my brother said yes. The mechanic said that the company was having trouble with the electric system and have not been able to find the trouble. Besides that, I had to have the spray for the wipers adjusted. Now, my sun roof does not work. I am afraid to drive this car. I want to give it back. What should I do????.
Cue (Cadillac user experience) system not responsive in a 3 year old car with 92,000miles. Although the internet is full of complaints, Cadillac would not assume full responsibility to replace part. I was offered a discount (about 20% off) to replace this essential electrical component that should never fail. "the first of its kind technology" that "should serve as a benchmark for the automotive industry" is a complete failure that make the car not usable. The cue system should be a recalled and replaced by Cadillac as it impacts essentials such as air conditioning, vehicle setting applications, backup camera, bluetooth, navigation etc. The gm executive office made it sound that is consumable and is the owner's problem.
Intermittently my electronic panel will shut down and no electronic functions will operate. Typically they will return power in about an hour or less. There has been a time in the last 15 days that the power did not return and I had to have the car towed to the dealership. Turns out that resulted in a fuse replacement for $125. The emergency flashers will randomly come on and the dealer would not cover it until I called gm headquarters and they got the dealer to cover it under a notice issued for the vehicles of my type but not my VIN number. My brakes squeak frequently but the dealer tells me that is normal but will not tell me if the recall had been fixed for that item. My brake lights and flashers will come on when I am driving, starting the car or park the care and leave it for some time. This happens like the electrical system shutdown, without any warning, in all seasons, during all times of the day or night, after extended or short duration trips. There is noting I have found to help me predict the occurrences and lately I don't drive it for fear of being stranded unless I am alone. Since the dealer can not duplicate the issue they are not willing to repair it and want me to pay $600 to have the body control module replaced in hopes that will clear up the problems.
A failure of the self-leveling rear air spring compressor occurred while driving through parking lot. "service rear leveling system" warning was not activated / displayed as published in vehicle owners manual nor did any audible alert sound, notifying driver of any impending problem. As the rear end of the vehicle proceeded to pass over a speed bump at idle speed, the automobile subsequently "bottomed out" leading to significant spine injury. Automobile was un-driveable after incident and was taken to the dealership for repairs via flat bed truck. After suspension compressor was replaced, the automobile continued to have audible creaking in rear suspension while traveling over bumps and dips in the road. Both l and r shocks were replaced after first being inspected and adjusted per gm/Cadillac repair protocol as reported by dealership.
I purchased this car used in 2/2017, great car, until it starts acting up, it doesn't matter what speed or distance you are going, all the lights start flashing and loses speed till it completely stops and will not turn back on. You unplug the battery and take all the fuses out, plug battery back in and insert all fuses and it will restart. It will leave you stranded anywhere, after a week of purchase, took it back to dealership, they supposedly worked on it, only had 30 days of warranty, a few months later started again and will randomly do it. It is not a reliable car and dangerous, I have drove it here in city limits only, I do not trust it to leave town.
