One problem related to air brake antilock control unit/module has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The abs went out on my 1999 Chevrolet siverado, dealer states can't keep part on shelf(so many going out). Dealer wants $1200 plus installation. Many friends have same. 40,000 miles and winters here, not safe to let my wife drive w/children in truck. Driving without abs at this time.
