I have a 2000 Chevrolet k1500 pickup with 43,000 miles on it. The throttle has began to occasionally stick, and the dealer says that it is normal and the throttle body has to be cleaned at a cost of approximately $140. When the throttle sticks from a "standing start", the vehicle lurches forward (or backward if in reverse). I have owned a dozen vehicles in my life, and none of them have ever had this problem. Yet, service advisors at walser chev say this is a common problem with my type pickup. I believe this is a manufacturing defect, and should be recalled.
Whenever fuel tank is 1/2 full fuel pump would make a lot of noise. Had mechanic at the dealership check fuel pump. Was informed to keep it full instead of 1/2 full due to fuel pump being defective. Would need to be replaced. Had no parts to replace fuel pump at that time.
