One problem related to axle assembly has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear axle had broken after making a lot of noise while driving. Had taken to dealership, and mechanic repaired axle. But problem/noise, had reappeared. Mechanic indicated will not repair until axle breaks again.
