One problem related to body has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Typical gm product, rear bumper rust out, brake likes rusted completely out, rear cross members, fuel tank cross member has rusted out completely on passenger side where the shock mounts to and the same for the rear crommm member where the shock mounts to on the driver side. I mean the fuel tan cross member holds the tank in place and if that tank dropps then I'd assume that it would be a safety issue. Atleast I hope so.
