One problem related to fuel pump has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Whenever fuel tank is 1/2 full fuel pump would make a lot of noise. Had mechanic at the dealership check fuel pump. Was informed to keep it full instead of 1/2 full due to fuel pump being defective. Would need to be replaced. Had no parts to replace fuel pump at that time.
