Door Latch problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Astro

Three problems related to door latch have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Astro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2003

The back doors of vehicle were stuck and would not open. The inside of vehicle did not have a handle that would open the doors from the inside. The dealer tried but was unable to get the doors open. The manufacturer has been notified.

2 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2000

Door locks will not lock at times, and will not unlock at other times. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything. Consumer feels that this is an unsafe problem.

3 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 02/09/1999

The sliding door doesn't have any safety lock to prevent it from close unespectedly, causing my childrens to get injured.
