Entire seal was lifting from top and down both sides, water leaking in at top of windshield, entire windshield and seal had to be reset. Tried going to dealer about bulletin they said they heard of no such thing on my van year or type. Ended up having to pay whole cost myself.
This is a serious problem, we have contacted several auto glass dealers and found this to be an ongoing problem,how can a mfg. Pf any auto continue to pruduce this kind of shoddy workmanship and continue to sell autos? I usally go to the side door and wait for me husband to unlock the door for myself and our son if I had been standing near this day we would have both been injured by the exploding glass! please do all that you can to ensure the continued safety of all!! thank you sally fiske.
The side window of the Astro Mini-van tilts out and is suppose to "lock" into position. However, at speeds over 50mph; this window slams shut without warning. One time my son had his hand out the window and it slammed shut on his fingers. I'm concerned that the "locking" mechanism needs to be improved so this will not happen.
