general problems of the 2001 Chevrolet Astro

I own a 2001 chevy Astro van. Today I had to pay another $300 to have the window motor fixed. This is the third time on this vehicle! we have friends with the same problem, but can't afford to fix it. There seems to be a trend with Astro vans and window motors. Although mostly a convenience issue, I suppose one could make the argument that not being able to roll a window up and down might be a safety issue. (by the way, the window goes down, but not up!).

2001 chevy Astro van - no brake lights - same thing happened in a '94 chevy s-10 faulty turn signal switch in steering column. Seems common. . . ?.

I own 2001 Astro van with 43000 miles this is the third cap and rotar broke down on road yust stalled out was towed in to shop wet under the cap . At 36000 miles 5/5/2000 again at 42000 miles broke down again same problem very danderous stalls out in middle of road 3/29/05.
