Contact stated while driving, the vehicle stalled. When this happened there were no brakes. There were no warnings before the stalling, it happened after the vehicle was parked for approximately 10-15 minutes. This did not happen every time the engine was turned off. The service dealer could not duplicate the problem, but they did inform the contact that this specific model year had intermittent stalling problem. The vehicle did not have braking capability. 2003 Chevrolet Astro, vehicle has stalled numerous times, around at least 12 times, this happened on major highways endangering the consumer and her family, the consumer has had it towed to the dealer around 5 or 6 of these times, the dealer said they could not find the problem, vehicle usually starts back up after at least 2-3 hours after stalling, vehicle only has 36,000 miles, consumer has gotten in contact with the manufacture, Chevrolet has yet to get back to the consumer, the dealer said that there were possible problems with the vehicles transmission , power control module, possible transference problem, or possible other problem, dealer also said there was a loud rear chatter.

While driving at highway speeds vehicle stalled. As a result, power steering and brakes failed. Dealer could not duplicate the problem.
Cannot get air throught vents in dash, all controls work properly vacuum actuator moves, there is vacuum at the swithc, no one knows the answer paint on gas door bubbling and looks like it is going to fall off transmission shifted hard into 2nd gear since we bought it ( 54000kms) finally started to slip , bought used trans and had it installed, quoted 3000. 00 to rebuild, dealer was past even belief. Abs comes on when coming to a stop every time . Lf front sensor reads o mph when other sensors read movement causing it to assume a skid situation, replaced sensor at 205. 00 no better, does not set code in computer according to mechanic. Pulled fuse. Has had vibration in driveline since purchased no one can find anything sugeestion range from replace all u joints, did some of them no better to replace rear end. It is not possible in nova scotia to obtain a blasting permit to blow up your car even if you take precautions and hire a professional. I have never in 40 years of driving some bad stuff from old english cars to transport trucks with more miles than there are numbers, ever had this kind of problem, most things can be fixed. You have never lived until you have taken the whole dash apart on one of these, the vehicle was designed by madmen.

Vehicle stalls when traveling! almost crashed with children in vehicle because of complete operational failure! vehicle restarts, however may stall at any time! I took vehicle to attendant shop as well as a chevy shop and they both failed to find the cause. This is extremely dangerous and the problem must be dealt with accordingly.
The vehicle stalled without warning, while traveling 80 mph.
While driving, vehicle will stall without warning, which causes vehicle to lose all power, consumer was unable to stop vehicle. The dealer replaced a cracked door panel, the driver and passenger side arm rest goes down to far, dealer replaced both worn arm rests.
Car will stall at low speed or take off. Twice encountered near crash while in traffic dealer can't fix ???.
Intermittently when making a turn vehicle will stall and die. Dealer has inspected and has not found problem of the vehicle. Problem still exists.
-vehicle stalls @ low speeds in both directions & dealer is unable to diagnose or repair the issue. - rear differential has been serviced multiple times.
