One problem related to engine clicking and tapping noises has been reported for the 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I drive my truck on the weekends only and at least twice a year I have to replace cylinder #7 spark plug all of the time, also got the oil pressure switch and the filter replaced twice and I get a tapping sound at idle due to the low oil pressure reading on the dash, and it has happen right after an oil change, last but not lease the cracking of the dashboard.
