Unable to see at highway speeds because the windshield washer cannot clean the windshield. 2010 Chevrolet Aveo windshield washer is useless at highway speeds. The washer fluid hits low on the windshield while at a stop and is unable to get past the wipers at legal highway speeds. This began immediately upon purchase. My car has been in three times, and the problem is unresolved. The dealer checked five or six similar cars on the lot and all of them have the same problem. Changed washer fluid and cleaned lines. Changed washer pump. Dealer does not believe replacing the nozzles with new ones from the factory will resolve the problem because all similar vehicles checked have this same problem.

My 2005 chevy Aveo has 2500 miles on it and I have had to replace the front wipers already and have had the car for less than 1 month. The front wipers also have a bad time with making a clicking sound to which I have smelt a burning smell under the dash only when the wipers are on. This has made it hard to see on the highway and almost caused a wreck when I smelt a smoke smell.

The windshield washer did not work. The consumer has taken the vehicle to the dealer and they were unable to repair them. The dealer took the pump out gave it to the consumer and said they do not have any. The manufacturer told the consumer to take the vehicle back to the dealer and ask the dealer for a loaner vehicle. The dealer refused to service the vehicle.
The way that windshield wipers are designed they are allowing excess water to distort the driver's vision while driving in a rain storm. Dealership inspected the vehicle for this issue and acknowledge the problem. Dealership is in the process of finding a solution.
