One problem related to engine clicking and tapping noises has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving vehicle at any rate of speed vehicle begins to lose power and eventually stalls. Consumer stated also stalled when idling, when restarted, starts right up and engine revs up to 1500-2000 rpm, then goes back down to idle at 600 rpm, when driving on highway, sometimes vehicle looses all power in gas pedal, if the gas pedal is stepped on there is a loud popping noise that can be heard.
