Five problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Scraping and pulsing noticed under braking. Upon inspection large(dollar bill size) sections were missing from the surface of the brake rotor. Appeared as though it had rusted from the inside out. Mechanic stated he had seen this before on this type of vehicle. Both rotors and all pads needed to be replaced.
Rear brake rotors are deteriorating. Dealer wants to use the same materials that's already on vehicle. Consumer disapproves & will go to another dealer.
Both front brake rotors warped.
When braking the vehicle jerks until stopped. Rotors were warped chipped badly damaged.
Wiper stopped working intermediately. Replaced upper and lower ball joints, idler arm, cap, rotor and coil wire. Ph.
