The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the abs module and the multifunction switch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000 and the current mileage was 76,000.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer s10. While driving approximately 45 mph, the abs and emergency brake warning lights. He then engaged the brakes and the anti-lock brakes were no longer functional. He stated the failure was intermittent for approximately three months.
