Spare Tire Problems of Chevrolet Blazer

The spare tire cable on 1999 Blazer has corroded causing the spare tire to fall from the vehicle. It happened once. I purchased a new spare wheel and tire and strapped inside the cargo compartment of the vehicle.

The contact stated while driving the spare tire cable broke and the spare tire came loose. The tire was attached underneath the vehicle. When the contact inspected the cable he noticed that it corroded, and could not hold the weight of the tire. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted.

Poor visibility out of rear window of vehicle. Apparently, spare tire is situated where it blocks driver's view of any objects/persons behind vehicle. Consumer states ge gas backed into trees and parked cars due to not beinng able to see due to the location of the spare tire.

Vehicle has a dangerous blind spot because of the location of the spare tire.

Spare tire almost completely obstructs rear view. Product should be recalled.

The spare tire on this vehicle is situated in a spot where it is impossible to see directly behind your vehicle. This blind spot can lead to an accident and not being able to move out of the way for police and medical vehicles. I have contacted gmac and received no reply. I have had several individual sit in the vehicle and all claim that they are unable to see. The tire covers more than 1/2 the rear window.
