The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the lane keep assist feature steered the vehicle to the left while the vehicle was driving inside the lane. The lane keep assist warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle also experienced a loss of power steering assist. The contact stated that the failure occurred after the vehicle drove over a pothole. The contact also stated that the dealer had previously replaced the front-end bracket after another vehicle struck the front end while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in a parking lot. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, escude Chevrolet of easley (5010 old easley bridge rd, easley, SC 29642), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact was informed that the tires were the incorrect size for the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500.

265 . / 45 r21 on our 2022 Blazer awd premier. I have the tires rotated every 10,000 miles and the vehicle only has 30,600 miles and all 4 tires have worn out, down to 2/32 or 3/32. I have owned 20+ gm vehicles over the past 25 years and I have never had to replace a tire due to tread wear before 45,000-50,000 miles. This is an expensive mid-range SUV and should not have junk tires. It is also my first gm vehicle that has continental tires. The replacement continental tire is $370 each. These are expensive tires and the SUV costs more that $55k, this is not ok. I see there is one other complaint filled for tires, but most consumers don’t know this web site exists. I would not except we I called chevy customer service, they recommend that I file a complaint. I also don’t think most Blazers have 21 tires, I order this vehicle from chevy with this as an upgrade option. Please research this tire brand and model as well as 2022 Blazer awd premiers with 21 tires an I think you will see this is a pervasive problem. Thank you.

This is for all four of the continental crosscontact lx sport tires, size p 235/ 85 r18 with about 22,800 miles on them. These were the original tires that came with our 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. While driving on dry roads the car felt like it was on marbles, wanting to wiggle on the road. We took it to our locale chevy dealership, they took a short look at the tires, and told us to have them replaced very soon. I started do research on new tires and also found out that continental had put out a voluntary tire recallthere, this was for 93,959 of there passenger tires. But only certain mold dates and serial numbers were on this list. We had only one of our four tires on there list. All four tires had the same wear pattern, the outside tread of each tire had worn down to approximately 0. 150", with the inside of tire tread at approximately 0. 205". Probably near normal wear for a 22,800 mile tire. To me the malfunction was with the outside tire breaking down and becoming weak, causing the excessive wear and unstable driving experience, putting the car at risk of accident and all passengers in it. We replaced them with goodyear maxlife tires. One of the tires with the serial #418527 was on the recall list, continental paid for it to be returned to them, and verified that it was on recall, they are to pay us for 1/2 of its life. Contacting them again, I told them again that all the tires had the same wear pattern. They then asked for the other 3 remaining tires to inspect. After they inspected the other 3 tires they have denied any other claims of defects on those tires. I do not have any tire to show you now, but continental's records should show the tire wear as I have stated. Of the 3 tires, 2 of the tires not recalled were a3lm wd30 dated 08-20, serial #418520 and 418521, and the third tire a3lm wd30 dated 12-20 with serial #418543.

The tread-wear has been described by the service department as unusual and they have never seen a tire wear like this before. My safety and others safety is put at risk due to loss of tread causing traction to be lost on damp or wet roadways. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership service department. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, but the tire company has been contacted. No warnings to the problem. 235/65r18 106h.
New 2020 chevy Blazer awd premier with oem continental crosscontact lx sport tires in size 265/45r21. Car has 18,000 miles on it and tires have been rotated and inflated correctly. All 4 tires have tread depth near 2/32 and need to be replaced per tire shop. Come to find out this continental brand of tires has no treadlife warranty at all so they don't even believe in their product. How can chevy and continental be allowed to put this tire on new cars to rip off the consumer. I'm going to have to buy 4 new tires on a car that has 18,000 miles on it. This should not be happening. It's also a safety concern for others on the road that aren't aware they need to check their tire tread depth so soon with these tires.
I purchased this vehicle on June 26, 2020. When the vehicle was serviced on may 13, 2021 it had 8,366 miles on it and the tread wear was recorded at 6/32". In late June/early July 2021, I noticed the rear end of the vehicle seemed to slide around corners which lead me to research on the internet the michelin tires that were on the vehicle. I found a gm service bulletin 19-na-078 dated January 2020 that found issues with these tires. The vehicle's alignment was fixed and that problem seemed to go away. The vehicle was serviced on October 29, 2021 and I was told new tires were needed before winter driving. The tread measurement was 5/32". I told the service department that I wanted to talk to michelin about this because I felt their tires should last longer. On October 29, the vehicle had 13,332 miles on it. I spoke to a michelin representative on Monday, November 8th after scanning and emailing in the service records from October 29th showing the tread measurement to be 5/32". The michelin representative acknowledged that they did have the service records and the only thing needed was a phone call from bergstrom - middleton WI, an authorized michelin dealer. Bergstrom was confident additional information would be needed on the tires and asked that I schedule an appointment to come back in with the vehicle. I did that today. Today I was told by bergstrom that nothing could be done because the tires were at 5/32". The current mileage on my vehicle is less than 14,000 miles and all 4 of these tires need to be replaced. It appears from what I could find on the internet, a "safe tire" is one that has at least 6/32" tire tread so these tires, which I might add should not have worn out at 14,000 miles, are no longer safe. What boggles my mind is that this has been a known issue with these tires since January 2020, before I even purchased the vehicle. I feel mislead and given the run-around by gm and michelin. Consumer stated michelin has agreed to cover 70% of new tires. Consumer would like to clos.

On 6/4/2008 I purchased four tires from walmart in yuma, az they were douglas tires 205/75r15bwx-trac ii. Walmart installed/mounted and balanced the tires. 5 month's and less then 5000 miles later on 11/7/08 my wife called me to say that a tire was flat when I got there to look at the tire I found that the tire had ripped in six different places from the rim to the tread all the way through. I then looked at the other tires to find that they had indented/impressions in the same pattern around the tire as if starting to crack through like the other one did. Also I was having difficultly keeping the proper psi level in them my vehicle manufacture recommends 35psi, but for some reason these tires will leak out to 20 psi I had to put air in them every month to keep them at the proper level. I went back to walmart the next day on 11/8/2008 after arguing with them they finally replaced all four tires but they used the same brand, and now a month later I'm starting to see the same pattern of indent's/ impressions in the side wall and these tires to leak air as bad as the last set of douglas tires the replacement tires walmart installed are 205/75r15bwx-t. I believe that this brand name has defective tires and this needs to be looked into. I also have pictures of the tires that ripped if I can I will add them to the report but if not just request them from me and I will send them via email. Thank you.
On March 8, 2006, the right rear tire went flat when I was returning home from northern virginia. This is the second time this has happened. Again, there was nothing in the road; I heard a popping noise, which was then followed by the tire going flat noise. Again I was able to pull over and get the tire changed (michelin tire).
On November 20, 2005, the left rear tire went flat when I was returning home from northern virginia. There was nothing in the road; I heard a pinging noise, which was then followed by the tire going flat noise. I was able to pull over and change the tire (michelin tire).
The contact owns a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. While driving 50 mph, the contact heard a loud banging sound and discovered that the rear passenger side tire detached from the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle dropped to the pavement. In addition, all of the bolts sheared off, the lug nut was missing, and the rotor was destroyed. The quarter panel and the bumper were bent. The vehicle was not diagnosed, but the contact was able to re-attach the tire to the vehicle and replace the studs. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Tire failure ( michelin p235/70 r15 ).
The tires in question have the same defects that have been shown on national t. V. The sides of my tires have blistered and are peeling along with a faint line where the tread was attached to the rest of the tire. Do I have to have an accident or have a fatality before somthing or someone will contact me ? I have called and a report has been taken several times to firestone with a comment that some one from consumer affairs will be in contact with me. My first report of my problem with these tires was 9-5-00. I have lost my job and falling behind on bills. I cannot afford a new set of replacement tires nor can I afford an auto accident. Will you please help me? sincerely, david saraceni (dot number: hyhl tiresize: p235/75r15).
While driving at 10 mph and without warning left front tire fell off. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealership.
After reporting the problem the second time, the dealer noticed a lug on the right rear tire had snapped off completely.
I was having trouble with ride quality on my 1997 Chevrolet Blazer for quite some time. The dealership rotated and balanced the tires numerous times as well as checked the alignment several times. After checking my owner's manual, I determined that the tires were covered under the 3/36 manufacturer's warranty. I attempted to have the tires replaced under this warranty. It was determined by the service manager that two of the tires had separated, but all four were worn out. I told him that may be true, but they should still be covered under the 3/36 warranty. He stated that their hands were tied because michelin would state that these were only a 30k mile tire and were past their useful life. I contacted Chevrolet customer assistance on 11/25/98 to attempt to solve this problem. The person I spoke with told me the same thing. Since the tires were worn out, they could not replace them. I told her that two of them had separated and according to my owner's manual, they were covered up to 36k miles. The person I was speaking with told me that she was sorry but there was nothing that they could do as far as replacing these tires. This is a problem that needs to be addressed. With the tire separation occurring, this could possibly cause tire failure leading to an accident. The consumer also believes that they are protected by their 3/36 warranty for the full time when they actually are not. Chevrolet/gm needs to be made to either upgrade the tires that they are putting on their vehicles or they need to specifically state the mileage restrictions on the tires in their 3/36 warranty explanation. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter. Sincerely, chip wright( dot number: tire size: p23570r15 ).
These tires have approximately 43,000 miles on them. The minimum tread depth is approximately 4/32 of an inch. All four of these tires have a starkly visable crack line just below the tread case on both sides of the circumference of the tires. It is at the depth of where the steel belting would be found. I removed these tires and purchased another set of firestone at tires with the same dot number and since have found cracking occurring on two of the four replacement tires. The tread on these tires is significantly greater. I have sent in my original correspondence, a photo attachment of the originial tires. Firestone store reps. Are contending ozone cracking which is preposterous. This shows a safety issue on 75% of the tires not manufactured at the decatur IL. Plant. I emphasize the cracking is uniform and completely surrounding the perimeter of each tire. This suggests to me as a research engineer, failure would be highly likely. (dot number: vnhl tiresize: p235/r7515).
