Questions answered below: what component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the vehicle is at a gm dealership now and is available for inspection. I have not authorized repairs as of yet. I am being told by the dealership: the ball joint on the control arm on the left side seized snapping the axle shaft - causing the tire to to turn out. The dealership has suggested: mechanical repair costs $1,850, plus an additional $2,000 due to wheel well damage caused by the failure. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I am being told by the dealership: the ball joint on the control arm on the left side seized snapping the axle shaft - causing the tire to to turn out. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? due to my slow speed turning out of the parking lot ~10 mph - the vehicle came to a sudden halt. However, had this occurred while driving any faster - it would have been very dangerous and put myself and others at significant risk. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? it was towed by aaa and has been inspected by the gm dealership. That is the only inspection thus far. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? earlier in the day while pulling out of a parking spot and turning the wheel to the left I thought I felt some type of resistance then it went away as I started driving. No other symptoms or warning prior to the failure.

After driving the vehicle for random periods of time and at random speeds, all the tpms sensors will give alarms and then register as dashes on the dashboard. It gives alarms for each tire as each tire goes out until all of them go out. They will reset after a random period of time and start to show the pressure again.
Snow/ice build up inside tire rim's, causing improper tire balance. And also brake to freeze up when vehicle is parked, during driving in winter snow conditions. When driving on interstate roads at speed limit, the vehicle start's to shake a lot , like a flat tire. I talked to a chevy dealer service manager about it and he said that their wasn't any safety massage out on that problem. I've never had a wheel snow/ice up like that before !! so now during the winter I check and clean out the snow/ice out of the wheel rim to prevent the vibration and driving problem. No warning light came on. It just shook the car real badly while driving on the highway.

I was driving about 35mph going straight when my chevy Blazer acted as if it hit a brick wall and came to a complete stop. I got out and noticed my right, front wheel was completely smashed into my car. Something had come loose internally and locked up my wheel. It damaged my car so bad where my suspension was damaged. It had to be towed. It was non drivable. My vehicle only had 1300 miles on it. I decided at last minute to not get on highway.
I have replaced the hub assembly, idler arm, & wheel bearings on both driver & passenger side of my vehicle. When I drive over 45 mph my car makes an awful sound & no matter what I change or have fixed the parking brake/abs lights stay on. Ive had many mechanics look at & say they've fixed the issue but none have actually fixed it. I was driving 70mph on the highway & my brakes felt as if they were locking up.

A chunk of approximately 2-3" blew out of the sidewall of the rear passenger tire. My daughter was driving, and she lost control after the tire blew and hit a tree head on at 45 mph. The vehicle was totaled and my daughter has multiple injuries, including a fractured kneecap, sprained jaw, disc protrusions at c6/c7 and l5/s1. She is having headaches and facial pain and a brain mri was performed yesterday. We'll have those results sometime next week. The tire was purchased in October 2013, was 20% worn and had no signs of inflation problems or signs of anything striking the tire. It was a goodyear tire.
Have had to replace front wheel bearings multiple times under 60k miles. The replacement bearings have even had to be replaced under warranty. I have been told the oem wheel bearings for this vehicle have a 60% failure rate. The solution is to upgrade to a higher quality bearing beyond the oem one. Such as skf brand with a 100k mile warranty.

I have a 2001 chevy Blazer, 4 dr & 4 wheel drive. And after only 28,660 mi. All 4
front & rear rotors rusted out causing the replacement of all front & rear brake pads & rotors to be replaced. For all 4 rotors to rust out at the same time and at such low mileage requires me to complain. It was an accident waiting to happen. I complained to the chevy division with no results. I was told it was normal wear and tear, which I think is rediculous. I owned chevies most of my life and I never had a problem like this. I could see one or two rotors going bad but not 4 at the same time. Especially rusting out.

I had to replace both front wheel bearings in my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer within a two week period. The vehicle has only 60,000 miles on it (vin1gndt13w0y2158540). Each replacement cost was $238. 00, including labor. The bearings shouldn't have needed replaced with only 60,000 miles on it. I'm very displeased with this and want to find out if this is a common problem with this vehicle. Thank you for your assistance.
The front wheels are impacting the sway bar when turning. This results in the steering wheel jerking and shuttering. Also, causes damage to the sidewall of the tires that could result in a tire blowout while driving. Manufacturer was providing no assistance to rectify the problem. This failure caused the vehicle not to pass state inspection.

Have excessive laterial run out in both rear tires, firestone states is due to oem wheels bent, wheels measured and well with in mfg spec's, firestone wants to replace with same, as a consumer I want reimbursement for tires, note these are replacement tires from recall last year. Unable to drive vehicle at hwy speeds due to vibration. Also unable to rotate tire per mfg recommendations due to problem. If firestone replaces just rear tires still have fronts with wear from not being able to rotate, firestone says 'to bad' (tiresize: p235/75/r1).
