One problem related to brake antilock wheel speed sensor has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Noted difficulty in distance needed to stop about 1 year ago. Also braking jerkiness. Took to gm dealer repairs (new brakes) about 400. 00 after a few weeks problem returned another gm dealer bill of 300. 00 (for brakes) (believed first set may be faulty) then after a few weeks problem returned took to a different dealer and the wheel speed sensors cleaned then the problem returned a few weeks later. Vehicle is very unstable, unsafe to drive.
