Four problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Possible design flaw of brake system failed & rotors rusted at 28,000 miles.
Brake problems; when applying the brakes coming to a sudden stop, the truck will pull to the left or right. This happens on any road surface. No inclement waether. Dealer not able to correct the problem. Not sure if the truck has abs.
