One problem related to brake antilock control unit/module has been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When coming to a stop, the brakes on my 2001 chey silverado will suddenly stop braking at low speed. Twice this week while parking, I nearly hit the vehicle in front of me. I find it paticularly bad when turning. This has been going on for the past three months, and seem to be getting worse. I have had the brakes inspected recently by a mechanic and nothing wrong was found with the pads or rotors.
